"The room is good, but there are steps up and down. It's a half-hour taxi ride from the city center, so unless you drive, it's not convenient. The beach in front is filled with garbage. Breakfast and service were good. "

Staff was very polite, patient, and forgiving of course everyday travel frustrations and communication issues that can sometimes happen when traveling. This was a very welcomed facet to their services. Warranted a review. Thanks for welcoming me !

This was a lovely place to stay while we visited the Kisakata beach. The host was incredibly helpful and picked us up when we went to the wrong train station. The host had sent a message with our initial reservation that the Google Maps directions were wrong but I missed that information. So for future visitors: DO NOT follow the Google Maps directions. They will take you to a field in the middle of nowhere. In English you need to search for the exact address and select the ‘budget hotel in...

Beautiful location, outstanding tatami room with good en suite bathroom facilities, and extremely friendly staff. Wifi connection in room was very weak (had to go to hall to connect). Not many English-speaking staff but made do with Google-translate. Would have appreciated food/snack options in bar but bought snacks at well-stocked gift store and small snack outlet on street where they have nice hot spring foot baths next to the river. The garden is beautiful and the private onsen was...
