「We enjoyed our stay. We were looking for a quiet getaway and this little space was great for the two of us. It was awesome to have the use of the kayaks. The only reason for the 4 stars was the issue of pet hair that we noticed on the floors. 」

「Very relaxing and peaceful stay. Felt refreshed. Great amenities but still very rustic. Quiet part of the river saw maybe 5 boats the whole weekend. Love the history of the cabin. You'll need a small boat if you want to do any good fishing as the water is shallow in front of the cabin. However, the site is absolutely beautiful and serene. Thanks!」

「This was a perfect place for us to stay for our daughter’s wedding in Ararat, NC. We were able to totally relax here! The cabin was extremely clean and well decorated, right down to the cabinet knobs! The hot tub was wonderful and worker perfectly! The view from the porch swing was stunning and we drank our coffee there every morning. We totally enjoyed our visit and hope to return for a longer stay!」

「The home is on a finger of Claytor Lake, which was quiet and out of the wind. It is eclectic with kitchen on bottom level and living room area on the second level. You can access both levels independently from the driveway. Overall, comfortable for our needs given the weather wasn't great but we were in town for graduation.」

「We had a very comfortable stay at this property. Water was too low for kayaking but the house was very roomy and comfortable. It is as the pictures depicted and the area is extremely quiet. Even though it ended up being only 3 of us staying the house could easily sleep10 as advertised - we stayed there because of a family reunion at my sisters in Blacksburg which took about 40 minutes to get to her house. Would recommend this property to a big group as it can handle it.Thanks for the comfortable...
