Weekend Getaway

We were pleasantly surprised with the size and open feeling of the home. Large sliding glass doors that looked into a our own private jungle and deck let a lot of natural light into the main floor. Well labeled instructions on how to use the TV's and other switches throughout the home were helpful. The Ocean Breeze community is close to everything, 10 minute walk to the beach 2 minute drive to everywhere and we loved how quiet it was in and on the property. Beds were comfortable and water pressure was great in the showers. Only negatives were multiple spiderwebs with dead bugs in them on the main floor, blinds in main floor bedroom not great at keeping light out, and no coffee filters. All in all we'd stay here again.

Nice location but condo needs some work

We always enjoy our time at HH and come almost every year. The condo we stayed at was decent but needs a lot of work. Since the townhouse was built around 2000, this place has not been updated since, except for the downstairs flooring. The first floor bathroom toilet sinks when you sit in it. There’s obviously some worn away sub flooring and joists that seriously need to be repaired as it’s scary that the toilet feels as if it may one day fall through the floor, and the toaster doesn’t work properly. Not enough bowls in kitchen, no bowl scraper, and the baking pans need replaced. Need larger coffee cups, they’re tiny. The kitchen countertop has gouges in it and needs replaced. If you have dogs, you will not have anywhere to place them out back. You will have to take them on walks as the landscaping comes pretty much up to the base of the outdoor steps. We didn’t mind walking our dogs to the small grassy areas. The paint job on the walls is sad as they only put one coat on so everywhere you look you can see the previous wall color and the lack of paint on the wall. We did enjoy the walk to the beach. Unfortunately not worth what we spent.

Needs Major Repairs

We called Vacasa to tell them the upstairs shower rains into the ceiling of downstairs bathroom. We were told to not use that bathroom. After checkout, they basically told us we made it up. They will have a much larger issue soon if someone falls through the ceiling. There was not an ice maker, just ice trays. The beds were not comfortable, no extra linens. Also, the pool was filthy and the tennis court was in the next complex, not close.

Good property, quiet most of the time. Very close to the pool, and near the bike and hike path. About a mile to the beach.

HH trip

Location and condo was nice. Just got locked out one time due to bad key pad. Need to be sprayed inside due to little bug problem. Property manager did take care of key pad problem and was very nice and helpful. Over all nice unit

Don’t Stay, Run

Appliances work, good water pressure and bed. The rest is truly a dump that has had no updates ever. The bathrooms and kitchen are from the 60’s or 70’s - disgusting. There is no comfortable furniture to sit on. The vinyl plank flooring on the main floor has no sub flooring, making you feel you’re going to fall through. A Vacasa rep came to look and said it was a safety hazard. The upstairs carpeting has presumably dog stains all over. I couldn’t be paid to stay there again. It’s a crime the money we foolishly paid for two weeks there, and Vacasa should be ashamed for representing and managing this property.

Functional facility

The place is a great size and perfect layout and location in a nice area. The unit, however, needs a fresh coat of paint, some new furniture and just an overall update. Patio furniture rusted, paint chipped, carpet stained, etc. Also, we felt that for the price, the kitchen should be better equipped - a full set of dishes, storage like Tupperware, and a FULL set of flatware (bare bones there). Also, stocking basics would be nice - seasonings, extra toilet paper and kleenex, an extra set of kitchen towels, ANY beach towels, etc. would greatly enhance our review.

Great location in Hilton head

Short .5 mile walk to public beach access, walking to Coligny circle. Townhouse was a little dated but very clean and perfect for our family with a dog.

Everything we needed + good central location

Property was as described with plenty of linens, cleaning supplies, etc. for our stay. Nice little backyard area for our dog to get outside. Centrally located on the island with a ton of space for our stay.

Undesirable Unit

This unit was filthy. As a result we left one day early. No signs of disinfectant used as advertised. Floors not wiped with disinfectant, used tissues under bedding, air vents and ceiling fans loaded with caked on dust. Carpeted steps and landing soiled with stains. Probably pet urine. Stains on kitchen chairs etc. In addition to the cleaning issues, it is apparent the owner does not wish to invest any money into this unit, starting with the cheap aluminum blinds that are broken in front of the unit. This unit totally needs to be refurbished with paint etc.

Unbelievably dirty

The condition of this unit is surprising for VRBO standards . The front door rug and stairs had blonde dog hair , multiple huge stains on upstairs carpet , human hair in the master bathroom upon arrival , worn furniture , and no plastic ware for the kitchen . The flooring downstairs was so filthy that our socks or bare feet were black after being in the condo for an hour . The microwave is rusted . Downstairs bedroom blinds were so broken that you can see in the room from outside . The sliding glass back door doesn’t lock . No instructions of where/how to find beach access. We used vacasa in Hilton Head to rent . Wish I could add photos to this review . Never been unhappy with any property prior to this one... outdated is fine , but filthy is unacceptable.

Great Getaway

The property is a little dated not bad though enjoyed our stay pool is just out the front door and across the parking lot. Beach was a little further than expected but not bad we drove there and then the youngest in our group parked truck back at the end of the property and then would go back and get it and come back and pick up the older ones and children. It was a great vacation for all involved and we all agreed it was a good stay.

Better than expected

After reading some other reviews, my expectations were pretty low, but we couldn’t find another place and it looked nice in pictures despite reviews. We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival! The home is an open floor plan with plenty of room for our family of 7. Floors downstairs were luxury vinyl plank, possibly newly installed and carpet looked clean on stairs and upstairs. All kitchen appliances worked great, washer and dryer looked very new. Bathrooms were all very clean. They had also left a small supply of dish detergent, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, etc., and had plenty of hand soap, towels, rags. The kitchen had utensils, silverware, plates, cups, coffee pot, basic pans, one larger pot. We only found one baking pan/cookie sheet. Not a big issue for many folks, but with 7 of us, we cook big meals. Bring an extra pan if that will be a problem for you. We also noticed some of the most beautiful birds in the back yard. A cardinal visited our bushes most of the weekend. It was too cold for swimming this weekend, but in warmer weather it would be nice because the pool is just across the parking area. So, a little about the layout because it would’ve been a problem when our kids were a bit younger. The master bedroom is upstairs, as is the room with two twin beds. The queen is downstairs, so some of our kids were sleeping downstairs by themselves. In the master, there is plenty of room for a pack-n-play if you may need one for your stay. All-in-all we found this home to be very nice, in excellent condition, and perfect for our spur-of-the-moment trip.

Awesome Pet Friendly Home

Overall our stay was great. Our family has a time share in the island and we needed an additional place that was pet friendly to stay. We rented bikes and were able to bike to the beach & Coligney everyday. The house was more spacious than we thought. Kitchen has everything you could need and has more seating than we expected. The decor is a little dated, lampshades need to be replaced and the vents were dustier than I would like but the beds were comfy . We would definitely recommend this place and would rent here again!

Tired townhouse but pretty good location

We weren’t thrilled with this townhouse but it was not too far from the beach and Coligny Plaza. The cleanliness and furnishings had a lot to be desired. Lots of stains on carpet. Cobwebs on side lamps. Mold on torn shower curtain and ceiling. Broken kitchen pantry door. Unbalanced and loud ceiling fan. Tired furnishings and property. On the positive, it was a little larger than expected and provided small supplies of basic cleaners.

So disappointed

As far as the cleanliness someone needs to look up and down. The air vents are gross as well as the fans. The mats on the first floor need to be replaced. The air conditioning is non existent in the front bedroom. The blinds are broken by the sliding glass door. There is no pots and pans. The house overall needs some tending to - the baseboards were pretty disgusting.
