We had several issues. One of the towel racks fell off the wall and our washer didn’t work. I called about it every day but the washer was never fixed or replaced. No one ever called me after my repeated calls and complaints, even though they promised to call. Someone finally came to fix the towel rod after 4 days. On the day before we were scheduled to leave they offered to wash our clothes and return them back to us and provide a small amount of compensation for not having a washer. I was very reluctant to allow them to pick up and wash our clothes and asked for slightly higher amount of compensation. We had to check out and I’m still waiting for a return call on the compensation! I feel sorry for anyone else who rents that unit if more things go wrong! The washer was never fixed!

Excellent for a small family, great location to beach and pool.

I felt this stay was comfortable and relaxing. The bedding was comfortable but small for three teenagers. Perfect for a family of four. Thank you for a nice family vacation.

Nice stay

I was not sent check in information, however, I called the assistance number and was helped right away. The condo was clean and neat. It is small, very basic but good location and very adequate for a get away. One negative was that the walls are EXTREMELY thin and we could hear the people above us carrying on a normal talking conversation....every single word. Another negative was that we asked for a late check out by 1 hour...and were denied saying this location did not offer late check outs. I called the 800 number. We only asked for 1 hour. Other than that, the stay was nice and uneventful. I would stay here again if I was on a limited budget and needed a safe, clean place to stay.

Overall pretty great!

The Great: Clean unit, sooooo close to the beach and super close to grocery stores and restaurants (go to happy hour at Lucky Beach at the corner of Folly Field and William Hilton Pwy!), because you're on the first floor you have easy access to BBQ, A/C works like a charm, great water pressure in showers, cute little patio for enjoying a morning coffee, full size kitchen with everything you need dishes and pots and pans-wise to cook up a storm. The Not-So-Great: No beach towels so you'll need to bring/buy those, no spices of any kind so bring/buy those too, the handle of the kitchen faucet falls off now and then, the light over the kitchen sink is burned out or not working, the laundry dryer works but it turns off well before the clothes are dry so you gotta run it 3 or 4 times (and it doesn't matter the size of the load), the patio screen door constantly falls off the track, the bar across the patio door for extra security is annoying because there's way no to latch it open if you want to go in and out, and the internet...oh boy, it's slow and annoying...you constantly have to sign back in and streaming shows is a no-go. That said, we know some of these issues could have been fixed if we reached out to management, but we didn't really feel like spending any part of our vacation with maintenance people around for non-emergency issues. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! We've been home for a week and all we do is reminisce about our stay in Hilton Head.

Great Location

Very close to anywhere you need to go. There were a couple of maintenance hiccups that a quick trip to a home improvement store would cure. And unfortunately, the internet/wi-fi was unbelievably slow (when it was available at all).

Great for a quick getaway

The location is very close to the beach, maybe a 5 minute walk. There were two pools and one was very nice and clean the larger one seemed cloudy and dirty. I received a call the first day that the dryer was broken and someone was coming out to fix it. I never saw anyone and the dryer didn't work the entire time. Unit seemed really dated but the beds were comfortable. I may would stay again for a short trip.

Girls trip

Took my daughters and a one of their friends, and it was perfect. The place was close enough to the beach and had all the amenities we needed. Loved the gated community.

Disappointed

This gated community was wonderful. The pools were lovely and well kept and the walk to the beach and access gates were all very nice. We loved Fiddler’s Cove itself. Our place however was quite disappointing. It was not very clean upon arrival and almost all soap dispensers were empty. There were several broken things such as towel racks , toilet paper holder ect. The walls had old food stains and there was dirt and sand on the floor. The front door didn’t have a way to latch from the inside. Our kids could easily escape. We contacted Vacasa and they said they would ask if they could put a latch on it. Two days later we had a sticky note on the door saying that it locks automatically from the outside. We obviously knew that but we’re very clear when we called that we couldn’t latch it from the inside to keep our kids in. The wifi constantly disconnected and we couldn’t use our baby monitors because it constantly booted them off the network. The whole place needs a good scrub and definitely new paint. There were several stains on the walls and baseboards. The toilet seats were covered in scratches and need replaced. Overall for a family of four with an infant and toddler, this place was a huge let down. I had only read good reviews so I didn’t think twice about booking here but I will definitely not be back.

Sister vacation

My sisters and I rented this Villa at folly Field for a vacation. The rental process was relatively simple. We had a couple of snags but it was ironed out quickly. The property and area was everything we expected! It was a beautiful Villa and the location was perfect. We are planning on staying there again in the future.

one week stay

Unit clean and in order. Some suggestions for improvement: sheets on King bed don 't fit.........every night the corner popped off and balled up in bed. Every night. Pillows on King bed were HUGE. Need normal bed pillows, which we used from other bedroom. A few coffee filters would be helpful. many pots don't use them any more. Kitchen shears for cutting would be nice. Cable did not work on arrival. Mgr. ordered repair man that arrived Monday am. Office mgr. Denise was excellent. Checked on unit because we were a little early, called to follow up that cable man arrived, very efficient.

Girl’s Trip

Overall the condo had the things that we needed; however, there were concerns with the cleanliness of the rental. There was trash left behind furniture and beds, the couches and chairs had visible stains, and the patio was a mess. The furniture needs updated for comfort. Also, someone had detached all of the wires to the TV to hook up a Roku device. It took us a long time to figure out what was wrong and then to fix the problem. This was very inconvenient. Overall we had a great time, the location is great, close to the beach and the pool was nice. A few changes could make things perfect!

Great getaway for a long weekend

We came down from Michigan for Labor Day weekend, this condo had everything we needed. It was close to both pools and easy to access. Property was as pictured but could use a little TLC specifically cleaning walls and showers. Otherwise, we had a great time time!

Too much money for quality of the unit!

First of all, we were not contacted about the details of how to open up the unit until we had left our home to travel to Hilton Head. We had tried to contact VACASA the day before we left but were told we would be waiting to speak to a representative possibly for an hour or more. There was no info telling how to contact the owner. So we assumed that when we got there, we would find out the info we needed at check in. Thank goodness the nice ladies at the local office of VACASA were able to help us. Later while in the grocery store, we received a call from a representative asking if we had any issues. It was a little late for that. Then I find an email from that morning telling us the lock and WiFi info. There was not much storage room for anything in the condo. The sink in the master bedroom was stopped up. There was absolutely no info about how to get the TV to work and no channel guide. Everytime we used our devices, we had to enter the WiFi code again. The TV constantly lost its sound. There were very few kitchen cooking utensils. The deck was very dirty. We found the remote to the TV in the master bedroom under the bed. There was a pair of socks under the dresser. There was a dirty bath cloth and towel behind the door and used soap in both showers! One of the showers had hair in it. The toilet paper holder in the master bath was broken. When we checked in, we also found out that we would have to pay an additional amount which did not appear on the rental agreement.

Cozy Place Near the Beach

We enjoyed our stay here at Fiddlers Cove. Condo was clean and had what we needed for a few days. We were a short ten minute walk to public beach access. We were able to access WIFI by getting the password at the front gate. Dishwasher did not work, it heated up but never washed. Only suggestion would be to put some rules and regulations for Fiddlers Cove in the condo. For instance, we were unaware of rules such as “no towels hanging on the balcony rail to dry”. Overall, we would highly recommend this condo!

Aged, basic and in need of upkeep

Dingy and aged. Every wall needs painting. Beds were adequate. Kitchen stocked well. Initial supplies of detergent/soap/toilet paper available. Lots of noise from upstairs (can hear footsteps easily). Unit smelled of smoke. Building is 10 minute walk to beach, not 5. Porch is heavily mildewed and dirty, unusable. Dryer did not work, making laundry impossible. One key did not work in the lock. Cleaning crew entered at 830 am on check out day....an hour and a half before check out time. Check out required returning keys at the office- 30 minutes out of the way. Would not stay again and would not rent from Resort Rentals.
