Family Vacarion

We loved this house. Location was perfect to the beach, park across the street for the boys to play basketball, pool was great, and close to restaurants and grocery stores.

But there’s a caveat.

Our stay at this property was incredibly disappointing. First and foremost, the mattresses were HORRIBLE—so uncomfortable that none of us got a decent night’s sleep. We even debated leaving early. The pool and spa were not cleaned, and to make matters worse, the lights in the pool/spa didn’t even work. We reached out to management multiple times, and they were absolutely no help. The overall cleanliness of the home was subpar; the walls were dirty, and we even encountered dead bugs out in the open areas. The WiFi was painfully slow, and we had to reset it at times during our 4 night stay, which was frustrating when trying to relax. Lastly, the water pressure in the master bathroom was almost nonexistent, making using the sinks a hassle. For the price, we expected much more. I would not recommend this rental, especially if you value your lumbar.

Family Gathering

Everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out. The house was perfect for our group of adults and children. Lots of games & pool fun and it is a 10 min walk to the beach! The fenced in yard is great for dogs! No complaints from anyone in our large group! Just make sure to bring or buy all of your food needs as there is nothing in the cupboards or fridge when you arrive. We made many visits to Whole Foods & other grocery stores which was very easy. Food delivery & restaurants are in abundance.

Great Property with Added Amenities

Had a great time at this house. The beds were comfortable and the garage ping pong, foosball, and darts was a big hit. Hopefully we will be back.

Well spaced home

House needs cooking supplies very few pots. Pool area is need of up grade with new furniture. Mud and drain water covered and back yard no grass, slime and smell from standing water which draw mosquitoes.

Family time

Great house. Booked because of the number of king bedrooms with private baths. Each couple had a great bedroom. Close to the beach and the pool was perfect for relaxing and grilling out. Perfect house for family

Our just “pretty good” vacation home

We have stayed at this location many times over the past dozen or so years. This year we enjoyed ourselves again, but began to notice the impact of inadequate maintenance of the furnishings, mainly. Area carpets are worn and stained in places, lamps had missing or burnt out bulbs, the basement play area was dirty and the fridge in rough condition, pillow shams torn in living area, comforter torn in master bedroom, the lights over and in the stove were not working, one garage door would not close properly, the motion light in the pool area cycled on and off all day and night, air conditioning on second floor was not working when we arrived. The garbage area appears to never be swept out and clean, the foosball table was broken and left in the basement and a new table was there but cheap and broken. Several Venetian blinds were broken or inoperable.When we started renting this house it was in much better condition. It needs a thorough going through to bring it back to the best that it can be.

Thanksgiving

House was nice and it fit the whole family 16. It was an incredible the amount of holes in this place you couldn’t walk 5 feet without seeing a sign telling you not to do something. It was a bit much. Good location well appointed I could’ve done without all the rules. No flexibility with check in and check out and felt like we were going to get fined for not taking the trash out on time or getting out on time.

Great place for family reunion

This property was perfect for our family reunion! Was great having so many separate master suites all with their own bathroom so each family could have their own separate space. We all enjoyed the short walk to the beach as well! Our only real complaint was how uncomfortable the beds were. We could really feel the springs on all but 2 of the beds (on main floor) because those 2 beds had an external foam topper added to them. They could definitely stand to replace all of the beds to make them much more comfortable! Otherwise, a beautiful home!

Great holidays

Is an excellent house for family or group of friends.All the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Kitchen and dinning table are large and convenient. We had a great time and enjoyed the property. Children can safely play all round the house and that was important, we had ages 2-4-6. We would recommend the property to others. Thank you very much

Family fun

My son, daughter, and their families to include my 4 grandchildren enjoyed the house, it’s location and neighborhood. The pool was the main attraction but the park next door and the beach just .2 miles down the street we’re high on the grands list of features.

Fun 1st Birthday Celebration

This was a great place to meet in the middle for our granddaughter’s 1st Birthday with family and a few friends! We hated to leave early, but we had a family emergency and had to get back to GA. We would definitely stay there again!

Great stay!

We were very impressed with this property and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to travel with a group! Our group was 16 people- 8 kids and 8 adults, and the layout of the house was fantastic. The bedroom placement allowed for all parties in our group to have privacy and a little bit of quiet when needed. The house was clean, large, and comfortable, and had everything we needed. When we called for a few minor things (coffeepot and broom) they were there within minutes to replace. Having stayed other places, this kind of communication and delivery is rare. The pool area and the patio was awesome! We had a lot of jellyfish stings at the beach so ended up using the pool even more than anticipated. It was great to have space and seating for everyone, and while the pool isn't huge, it worked well for us! It's shaded almost 100% of the time so that was great for the heat. The four stars for location might be a tad unfair- we knew going in this wasn't "on" the beach, but the walk was a pain with 8 kids. We have previously stayed closer to Coligny and had a much shorter walk to the beach. However, this house did have a wagon that we could load up for the trek, which was helpful. The park across the street was good for our kids to play, so that was a huge plus. Overall, you will not regret this rental! We would come back in a heartbeat!

Nice vacation, great property manager

If I was only reviewing the property managers, I would give this property a 5 star review since their responsiveness was the best we have ever experienced. We stayed for two weeks over Christmas and New Year’s. Generally a very good experience-beautiful large house, 5 blocks from beautiful beach (can generally only walk northeast up beach), very nice outdoor space with brand new gorgeous grill and brand new lounge chair cushions, beds (mattresses could use upgrade) to accommodate 16 people, good amount of cookware,across the street from large park with tennis courts, bball, dog park, open fields. Biggest problem with the house is that there is only one full size refrigerator which for 16-20 people is simply not sufficient. Items of note: The stove did not have an overhead light or the exhaust filters installed. The gas stove low setting was entirely too high. The dishwasher required dishes to be fairly clean before inserting them. No way to remotely open the garage doors from outside so had to climb stairs before using the elevator. Home generally very clean; however, the kitchen cabinet facades could definitely use a wipe down. Upon arrival, we did have to kill a lot of very large palmetto bugs (roaches, which besides the extremely gross factor are generally harmless) in the house. Notes left by the owner indicate these bugs are indigenous and not a sign of an unclean house, that an occasional bug is not uncommon. However, we had more than 20 bugs we found over 24 hours. We informed the property manager and they immediately called pest control in to spray. This did not seem to solve the problem so the property manager had pest control return. The pest control company indicated that construction of a home on an adjacent lot probably caused the large number of bugs. We had issues with the spa & although this occurred the day before Christmas Eve, the property manager was able to get the pool repair company over on Christmas Eve Day to fix the issue!

Vacation made for cleaning

Overall, the layout of the home, location and size and proximity to Burke beach was perfect for us. Communication with managers, bike rental was efficient & friendly. They communicated by email and check in was a breeze. I arrived about 1 hour before my group- to survey the house and to set out some group snacks and goodies. Upon first glance the home appeared very clean but upon closer inspection - I was able to confirm what some of the other reviewers were speaking about- for the size home & high dollar cleaning fee the cleaning of the home was not at the level of a upscale hotel or million dollar home (3 1/2 star at best). I spent the time cleaning and dusting various areas of the home as a few in my group have allergies & at risk. Beds, linens and baths and kitchen counters and floors were clean, but stair cases( especially to garage), pots, pans, cutting boards, Laundry room sink needed attention. The home is filled with lamps and art in the walls & upstairs stair case all of which had a thick layer of dust on them. Window sills were dusty and some had dead bugs. The garage play areas was just dirty. The ceiling fans in the garage over the fuse ball table and ping pong were Dirty. Some beach items were broken(wagon/ chairs) and dirty some still had sand in them but we had our own. The grill was dirty from previous tenant. The stair case to the garage is scary- spiders above your head, with full fledge webs. Dust and webs in each corner. ( I couldn’t believe it so I had to take picture). The pest control needs work especially in the stair case to garage. We found that plenty of roaches not water bugs made their way from the garage into that Laundry room hallway. Wine fridge does not keep temperature. Up stairs all bedrooms/ bath were fine. Up stairs the big picture window the window sill had dead bugs & lots of dust. Towels were clean and bed linens were clean. I did bring extra throw blankets for the couches. Other items: kitchen had broken pots /Broken coffee carafe (we purchased one) and pans- scratches and some dirty. Someone needs to purge & repurchase broken items. Kitchen has food on ceiling. Hot tub heater did not work. Provide a clean welcome booklet that gives you details about the home, outdoor lighting, gas grill, hot tub/ pool & temperature controls etc- it was trial and error to find everything. Provide brand name detergent (dawn)& 2 Extra large garbage bag, new mop. We would come back - location, size & convenience

Beautiful family home close to the beach

This is a fabulous home, clean and very convenient to the beach. It is a quick walk to a semi-private beach (no public parking). The beda are all comfy and the outdoor space is the best!!! We would definitely go back!
