This condo is the perfect Forest Beach location. The ocean views are amazing, the condo is spacious, balcony is the perfect size for 4 people, pool is nicely sized (NOTE: it is not heated), and overall property is very easy to navigate. Access to the beach is super easy and includes outdoor “showers” to rinse off sand when you return.
The condo layout is great and has all that you need, including beach chairs and toys. That said, given the price we felt a few things need to be updated. The twin beds are VERY squeaky - my boys had trouble sleeping as a result. The king bed mattress is a getting pretty “curved” (someone u-shaped from front to back). If pillows are critical for your sleep, suggest bringing your own. The ones provided are VERY firm and old. I like firm pillows but these had no give at all.
Lastly, the cookware is quite old (Teflon wearing off) and what is provided is rather limited (i.e. only one small mixing bowl). The kitchen utensils are adequate but the chef knives are very dull (there is a handheld sharpener but it can’t get the job done). If you are planning to do a lot of cooking, you may feel challenged. If not, you’ll be fine.
The bedroom with the twin beds really does not have a window. The one in the picture looks out to an interior corridor and does not let in any light. My boys felt like they were in a cave. This might not matter to most people, but thought worth a mention.
Overall, we had a fantastic time and the sleeping was really the only detraction. It may seem like I’m nit-picking, but for the price I feel that the items listed above should be addressed.
