Cowan Cozy Cottage

  • This amazing cottage nestled in the woods features all the comforts of home in the middle of paradise. Located with direct access to Lake Cowan this cottage is also within walking distance to the main south beach, hiking trails, great fishing holes and numerous picnic pavilions. As for taking in the local activities the Cowan Sailing club, Cowan State Park and World Equestrian Center are all located less than 5 minutes drive.

    This Cottage sleeps 6 comfortably with 1 queen size bed located in a private bedroom, Queen Murphy bed located in the great room in addition to a loft accessed by ladder to a Queen bed. All the comforts of home can be found here with large walk in ceramic tile shower, full size kitchen with granite counters, full size appliances, dining area for 6-8 people, washer/dryer on site. WIFI and streaming service provided.

    Outdoors features large 12' x 24' deck facing the lake, large side patio off master bedroom, fire pit, outdoor grill and of course nature up close and personal.

Fantastic Dog friendly place!

We were so impressed by how nice this place is. It is comfortable, well maintained and beautiful. The scenery is great and the fireflies put on a great show every night. We had a great time staying there while attending a dog show at the Robert's Center. The location was very convenient.

Peaceful weekend unwind

Exactly What We Wanted

Perfect lodging for us and our dogs. Location was convenient for our dog event at the Roberts Center. And to top it all off, we got to see the northern lights one night! Highly recommend!!!

Our second visit was just as cozy as the first

This is our second year in a row of renting the Cozy Cottage. It’s a wonderful location to get away from it all while still close to plenty of Cowan Lake trails and Caesar’s Creek activities for the kids. We loved being to bring our dog and find all the amenities to feel like we were glamping. :)

EXACTLY what I needed

Stayed at the cabin for 6 nights while in town for work. Thank goodness all of the hotels were full because I never would’ve found this gem. I needed peace and quiet to rest and study and that’s exactly what this cabin provided. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything I needed (including an electric kettle!) Communication with Tom was super fast and helpful. Couldn’t ask for more!

Peaceful sanctuary!

I loved my stay at this cottage! The peaceful, quiet setting was a welcomed respite from the daily chaos of a dog show at the Roberts Centre in Wilmington. The drive was very easy and sometimes I went back & forth several times daily. The cottage was larger than I expected, and very comfortable. I greatly appreciated that the owners permitted my two dogs. I hope future renters with pets continue to respect this property so the owner will continue to allow dogs. Thank you!!

For a writer looking to getaway and get some work done, I couldn't have asked for a more quiet, peaceful, and serene location. The proximity to the lake was ideal and the cottage itself was beyond comfortable. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.

This is such a cute house and perfect for our event we had this past weekend. We were in town for an even at WEC equestrian center and it was so close and convenient. We definitely will rent again for our next show.
