The stay at the cabin was great. My girls loved exploring around the cabin, especially seeing all the fireflies at night. Lisa was very fast in responding and the cabin was clean. I would recommend this cabin and area to another and stay there again.

Wonderful Getaway!

The property was so cute and private. The surrounding area was very peaceful yet it was so close to town. The perfect location and cottage. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Loved our stay!

Our family enjoyed our spring break here this spring. The cabin is exactly as pictured and was a great space with room for the kids to run. It was so nice being close to town but feeling like we were out in the country. We will definitely stay again!

Perfect Mountain Stay

The cabin was absolutely perfect! Everything was spotless, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen and baths had everything we needed. We built a fire in the fire pit one night and spent the next evening just curled on the sofa with blankets…very relaxing. Hopefully we can return soon!

Delightful stay.

We had a wonderful time and we were able to spend some time outside before the weather got too cool. Have the fireplace was wonderful and it kept the great room at a good temperature. Everything we needed was provided and we hope to return in the Bew Year.

Wright Cottage

Always love staying here. This time, we stayed 5 weeks. Cottage is very comfortable. Lisa is very responsive to all our needs. Kitchen is well stocked, beds are comfy. A/C is strong. Perfect location for us, as we have friends nearby. Will definitely return to the Wright Cottage!

Beautiful House

Beautiful house, wonderful host. It's a big historic house with many original features. The wood walls throughout are gorgeous. Lisa was amazing. We went after the storm and she kept me apprised of the conditions in the area. I'm so glad we were able to go.

The Wright Cottage- A Warm Farmhouse Christmas

The is the second year my adult daughters and I have spent Christmas at the Wright Cottage. It is such a warm, sweet setting to spend time together as a family and share the holiday. The home is a traditional farm house with a big fire place. We appreciate all the Christmas decorations. It was so inviting. We read books, played a board game, went on hikes and then went into town. It was a lovely holiday.

Cozy cottage

Pulling in from a 9 hr drive we were greeted by deer It was the start to a perfect family vacation The home and property was perfect had everything we needed We cooked most meals comfortably in the fully equipped kitchen slept trrrific in comfortable beds loved just enjoying the quiet and seeing rabbits deer hummingbirds fireflies it was exactly what this family from the city needed we explored NC too so much to see and do lots of hikes and waterfalls and don’t forget about the great restaurants and shopping minutes away we can’t wait to visit again thank you for providing such a lovey safe home for my family and I peace and love

Cozy Cottage in the NC Hills

This place was perfect for a nice weekend stay for a wedding. It is in close proximity to Highlands, NC and Flat Mountain Farm. The house was perfect for part of the wedding party, with four beds and three baths. It could sleep up to six people comfortably. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the living room was a comfortable place to hang out with the gas fire place. The host was very responsive, especially in the face of extenuating circumstances related to a severe weather event in the area. Our party would stay again!

Absolutely wonderful

We came to Highlands for my brothers wedding, which was only a 4 minute drive from this wonderful home. This home is also only an 8 minute drive from town which was very convenient for downtime. There is a Dollar General 5 minutes away for any of those last minute needs. The home was clean, well stocked and private. We felt like we were in the middle of nowhere. It was so peaceful and convenient. I would highly recommend staying here for any getaway but especially if you have someone getting married at Flat Mountain Farms. We hope to be back! The host was so easy to work with and quick to respond!

This was our first stay at the Wright cottage in Highlands, but hopefully will not be our last. My wife and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary at this wonderful home and we could not have been more pleased. It was so peaceful and quiet and it was just what we have been looking for on our yearly trips to Highlands. The home is beautiful with a great sense of history that made it very special. We brought our Irish Setter and he enjoyed the huge yard and surrounding area to play in. Can't wait until we can return.
