5 BEDROOM, 4 bath Rustic LOG CABIN in the SMOKY MOUNTAINS close to HIGHLANDS, NC and FRANKLIN, NC.
A Noisy CREEK runs thru the property next to the CABIN. Features include a CREEKSIDE stone FIRE PIT, huge DECK, hanging bench swings and plenty of space for outdoor games and Fun.
Inside, the LOG CABIN features an open Great Room with SOARING, vaulted ceiling with beautiful rock Gas Log FIREPLACE, huge open kitchen with all the appliances. Giant 30 x 20 open deck with outdoor seating for 15 with BBQ gas GRILL and a metal fire pit for cool mountain evening get togethers.
Downstairs features lots of fun opportunities: A bar and full sized POOL TABLE, a POKER TABLE, plus a Theater Room with HD Big Screen TV and 8 lazy-boy lounge chairs to watch MOVIES from an incredible Video Library.

This is an awesome VACATION property for your FAMILY REUNION or GROUP RETREAT.

Annual sibling get-together

Cabin is very open and spacious, loved huge deck and screened porch. Cabin location is very private and quiet. Would recommend to anyone.

Pictures on VRBO don’t really do justice.

We were very happy with Buck Falls Cabin. The home is beautiful and very clean and comfortable. I would suggest new listing photos as the current photos don’t do the home justice. Thank you Sally.

Fantastic!

The cabin itself is fantastic. Soaring ceiling in the kitchen and living room area. Wonderful decks with beautiful views. The sound of the bubbling brook running through the property is great! Our family of 6, plus a friend had the best time and made wonderful memories. Nearby Franklin and Highlands have great little shopping areas and we saw a couple of incredible waterfalls that really made the trip (Dry Falls and Cullasaja).

Buck falls

Very nice property with plenty of space for a large group to spread out when they want and to gather together. Nice screened in rear upper porch, huge side deck area and a spacious game room for everyone in the evenings.

Love this cabin

We arrived and were happily surprised that everything was as listed and shown. Had fires in fire pit. Played tons of pool and cards in game room. Had fun family dinners in dining room. A wonderful place to stay.

Mountain Vacation

We enjoyed our stay, the house was much nicer then the pictures showed! (new picture should be taken) plenty of room for all of us. My grandson loved the tire swing. The screened porch was wonderful for breakfasts in the am and card playing in the evening. Loved our stay.

Nice retreat

We rented this cabin to spend New Years and it was lovely, it was a great to be apart from the city and experience nature. We didn't spot much wildlife, but we did go to a lake and a waterfall that is a short drive away. The house itself it big, and all rooms were enough for us 8.

Family get together

This place is ideal for a family get together or reunion. There were eight adults and two children, and we had plenty of room to move around in and avoid each other if we wanted to there’s lots of deck space and outdoor. The only thing I would we would’ve liked is for the grocery store to be a little bit closer so be sure you have everything you need because it’s quite a drive to go pick something up if you forget it

Life long friends mountain visit

The cabin was fantastic. It was equipped with all necessary items and more. Plenty of room for our group and a very peaceful area. We have been coming to this are for 40+ years camping but because of age we no longer desire to sleep in tents on air mattress. We will definitely keep this place in mind for future visits.

Secluded but close

The Buck Falls Cabin was charming...very homey. The cabin was well equipped with plenty of towels, kitchen items, to do's for the grandchildren of all ages, jukebox, movies and the list goes on. We had a wonderful get away to power down, and enjoyed that we were close to activities, Highlands, Franklin, etc. when we wanted to get out. The property managers, Jerry and Sally, were wonderfully helpful!

Perfect family getaway!

We were more than pleasantly satisfied with all accomodations, cleanliness, and ease of booking. We had four wonderful days with family away from the hussle and bussle of our very busy lives. We cooked and baked in the wonderfully stocked kitchen and enjoyed all areas of the cabin...we were happy to stay in the entire time. The extra basement frig was good for additional food/beverages for our group of 8. The mattresses allowed for a good night's sleep, but not the best quality. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely book again...thinking about next year already!

Pictures don’t do it justice!!

The house was clean and ready for us! Love the touch of having toiletry items in the bathroom for us! My only complaint, which wasn’t a big deal, not all the recliners work in the theater room. We will definitely be back!

Highlands Hideaway

We so enjoyed our stay at this beautiful mountain retreat near Highlands, NC. The deck and screened-porch are spectacular with beautiful wooded views. The living area has plenty of room for a large family, and we loved the downstairs rec room, which had a pool table and an arcade console with class games like Space Invaders and Pac Man! The bedrooms were quite spacious, and the master opens out onto the screened porch. The only drawback would be the steep and winding gravelled road leading up to the house, but you soon get used to it! A great property for anyone wishing to enjoy all the Highlands has to offer.

The Hammock Will Bring You Back

We had the best time and it was just what we needed for our Christmas holiday. They even had a tree for us to decorate. The spiral staircase takes a little getting used to, but you can also walk around outside to get to the bottom floor. The absolute best, though, was napping in the hammock listening to the little creek. We all wished we had another day and we will definitely be back if they’ll have us!

Wonderful for Large Family Get Together

Large and spacious home, excellent for entertaining large group of friends/family. The home is as wonderful as the photos. The only complaint was that some entertainment items were not functional: Arcade machine, jukebox, and slot machine. The DVD collection is outstanding for movie night or a rainy day. The spiral staircases make transition between floors quick and easy, except for older folks. Outdoor entertaining area is wonderful. Plenty of room and choice of seating. Just a great place to share fun times with family and friends!

buck falls vaca

we are a family of 9, from the NC coast. The stay was very accommodating with plenty of beds and space. we loved playing pool and he juke box in our down time. there was a beautiful Rat snake roaming around and some baby birds being feed in between the porches. The windy one car road was a bit scary, but we were fortunate that we never met anyone head on. Love Mr. Buck, his wonderful garden and side kick labradoodle . He is a land owner next door. We would definitely stay again!! Cathy

Perfect retreat for my family.

It was obvious the moment you stepped through the door that this was a place where long lasting memories had been established. I appreciate the owners for allowing my family to build our own memories. We did just that! We played pool, we played video games, we listened to music and nature, we put a puzzle together, we sat by the fire, we cooked inside and out, and we made memories. The location allowed us to go horseback riding in Georgia, Mining in Franklin, NC, and ziplining at the Nantahala Gorge. This was our first experience with VBRO and we were skeptical about the listing, as it seemed too much to be true. Everything was listed correctly. The amenities and location were great. A wonderful retreat that relieved us from the hustle and bustle of the daily grind. We would/will stay here again in the future.

Nice cabin, needs some updates.

Very nice size cabin with all the amenities of home. Plenty of bedrooms and spaces to eat, just not a lot of space to sit in main living room. Furniture is uncomfortable and carpet dingy. Beds in basement are very worn and uncomfortable. Loved the theater room, just had limited movies due to inoperable dvd dispensers. The game table and arcade style video game were awesome! It could be really amazing, just needs to be thoroughly cleaned and some new furnishings and floors. Note: dirt road leading to cabin is very narrow and curvy. We prayed that we wouldn’t meet a car coming towards us every time we had to go somewhere! Overall we had a great time with family!
