Floor of the condo was the only negative thing about the place. Our feet were black after walking around on it for an evening. Resort was clean, pool was great and communication before arriving was great.

Great place!

I stayed at High Pointe for a girls trip and we were all pleasantly surprised at how wonderful our stay was! The condo was beautiful, clean, and comfortable with a great view of the ocean. The location was great and we were able to walk and bike to the local area. We spent our days at the beach but the pool was beautiful and very clean. I hope to make it back here sooner than later!

Weekend getaway

The location was perfect. Waking up to the beach and steps to rosemary and seacrest. We were in off season so no chair or towel service. Our stay included two bikes which was a lot of fun and we rented four more for the kids across the street. Room 32e was older and utensils and cooking supplies were not up to my standard so I did not do any cooking. However, this wasn’t terrible because it was nice to not have to prepare every meal.

Nice complex but outdated room

The facilities were enjoyable but my recommendation would be to examine the specific condominium more thoroughly before booking. The one we stayed in was very dark and outdated and minimally equipped (not even a hair dryer or cutting board and only one pan, for example). The king sized bed was not comfortable. For the price we paid, it should have been much, much better. We have stayed in this complex before, but will probably stay elsewhere next time.

Never again

Worst experience to book resort quest condo through hotels.com. 2nd time this year tgey lost our reservation. Resort quest did accommodate us with better property but it was away from our group of twenty families. Not very pleased with the communication. All parties could have done better by us. First time in years I give a poor rating

Off-season was a mixed bag

We recently stayed in a 2 bedroom ocean view condo at High Pointe during the holidays and thought there were some good points and some not-so-good points. The good stuff first - the view of the beach from or condo was amazing, the condo was comfortable (average), it had all the conveniences you could want for a family holiday (washer/dryer, full size refrigerator, dishwasher, etc) and the location was nice -- within walking distance to small shops but quite a ways from traffic or any real noise. The bad - we were told that the city had deemed their beach access "unsafe" recently so it was being redone, which meant you had to meander your way around the High Pointe property and then through an adjacent property instead of using the regular access. Also we were quite disappointed that since it was off season the normal umbrella and beach chair service wasn't provided; you could see down the beach in both directions where other properties were providing this service as normal but staff in the High Pointe office (next door) refused and couldn't care less since we "booked through a third party". Finally, the condo had some maintenance issues (many), which were addressed within 2 days of notification -- there shouldn't have been so many and it shouldn't take 2 days when the parking lot was empty during this low season stay...

Could have been better

It was just okay. We did not like the room location and would not have stayed at High Pointe if we knew the room was on the first floor. Hotels.com said it was pool view and it wasn't. Construction to the room above woke us up twice and was so loud that we couldn't even hear the TV.

Nice location but dirty, dated bathroom.

Hotel condo #324 has a very nice pool/ocean view but the bathroom facing the pool view is outdated and dirty. The bathtub has a ring of scum on the bottom. The tub has a rubber floormat that was rather gross as well. The bathroom fixtures were from the 1990s. The kitchen was nicely updated but the living room furniture was very outdated. There is a sky blue colored velvet rocker that is very old and very worn out -- none of us touched it the entire week. The grounds are well kept and the pool is beautiful. Very short walk on a private boardwalk brings you to the Gulf of Mexico waters.

VERY PRETTY LOCATION

EXPEDIA SHOULD TELL THE CLIENTS THAT BOOKED WITH THEM THAT THEY CAN PICK UP THEIR KEYS WHEN CHECKING IN AT THE RESORT QUEST OFFICE RIGHT NEXT DOOR TO AVOID A TOTAL TIME LOSS OF CALLING AND TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHERE TO CHECK IN WHEN YOU ARE ON A LATE CHECKING IN STATUS.

Great Getaway

Added a couple of days to a business trip for a little R&R and this was just what we needed. This area is a fantastic alternative to the run-down Panama Beach City area -- it's pretty much self contained, so you can walk to the many stores and restaurants. The High Pointe is a very clean and well appointed spot in the middle of it all, and the beach area (along with Crabby Steve's) was perfect.

Great Location!

The High Pointe Resort was fantastic! It was a great location between Rosemary Beach and Alys Beach. You can walk or ride your bike to shops, restaurants, and the beach. I would highly recommend the High Pointe for Family reunions , girls trips or couples getaways!

Good condo experience.

Stay was fine. Some things in condo not kept up like light bulbs out, wifi never worked...etc, but all acceptable. Booking thru Hotels.com was simple, but then sort of treated like second class citizen through Wyndham since I didn't book through them. Couldn't tell me what condo I would be in...etc.

Excellent Condo community

Would recommend this condo to friends. Great area on 30A, shops, restaurants, pool, and on beach. Condo was great and clean, would go there again!

Family Spring Break March 2012

High Pointe was a very well kept, high end resort directly on the pristine beaches of FL's panhandle. The pool / hot tub area was beautiful and our condo was clean, well stocked (kitchen cooking items) and nicely decorated. I would say the largest selling points would be: (1) Direct Beach access, (2) very nice pool area & (3) Access to the biking / jogging path along 30-A. However, a convenience that we did not have was access to a fitness facility, either on site or within a short driving distance. I did miss this but made up for it by utilizing the jogging path more. I thought that the price was also a good value for the amenities that we received.

Lovely location

The resort is in a perfect location to take advantage of the wonderful Seacrest/Rosemary Beach area. Lots of cute shops, bike trails and things to do. A great place for families with children. The resort itself is maintained well with just a few items that could be worked upon, but overall it was exceptionally clean. The pool area is great and the resort offers free DVD's and beach setups during peak months. The beach is wonderful too. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our unit was gulf-front and it was wonderful to hear the ocean when I woke up. I requested a sofa-bed through the web reservation and the wish was granted so the unit was perfect for us. The beds were comfy, and the kitchen stocked with all of the cooking items we needed.
