Bakewell and the magnificent historic houses of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall are just 30 minutes away by car, as is the National Trust’s Lyme Park and the historic plague village of Eyam.
You will find shops in Chinley along with Chinley station just 1.5 miles away, and Chapel-en-le-Frith only 2 miles away. The nearest bus service can be found 1000 yards away at New Smithy, servicing Chinley and Whaley Bridge in one direction, and Chapel-en-le-Frith and Buxton in the other direction. There are frequent Skyline buses at Chapel-en-le-Firth which service Buxton and Manchester airport. Lovely spot, close to nature and local attractions.
Lovely spot, close to nature and local attractions. Despite proximity to other cottage and owner residence feels very private. Well equipped, clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.
