「The double room was large, with a luxurious bathroom and an adjoining workspace. Breakfast was not only ample but flexible; you could mix any combination of items you wanted. Daniella was helpful in making sure we had everything we wanted.」

「Excellent staff very kind and hospitable and very nice pub food and breakfast. LargeTV screen to watch the World Cup and BBC I player to catch up on the highlights, all good.」

「Fabulous 4 day stay here . Lovely location , rooms very clean and comfortable. Ate all our meals here and every one was excellent. Breakfasts were great , plenty of choice . All the staff were so friendly and helpful . Special thanks to Marcelle and Jackie who couldn’t have done more ! We will definitely return」

「The setting was lovely n tranquil but dirty windows obscured maybe due to it becoming winter, lovely walks, if you didn't want to eat in it was a nice lil hamlet to explore.」

「Absolutely the nicest hotel around! beautiful surroundings, Definitely recommend and I'll definitely be back. Didn't try food but looks amazing too.」

「Great place great rooms great staff, breakfast choice also very good」

「You don't get good feeling when you get into the room and there weren't shampoo/body wash (delivered next morning). There is no reception and a call to the hotel, it was received by property manager. She mentioned that we didn't had the reservation from Expedia but upon insisting, she found it and took 10 mins to arrive for letting us in. For the price, it's not what I had expected from the room & amenities」

「First and foremost the property was clean, functional and offered value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful, although our experience of room service was let down by dirty cups being left. We found the hotel lacked character, everything about it was functional and not interesting. This extended to the breakfast, our experience of which was behind not eating supper there. This is not a criticism of the hotel, it is my view. Based on reviews I expected a little more than we got....

「We were walking the Pennine Way and stopped off at Bongate House after reaching Dufton and after walking/backpacking for most of the day. We had a very friendly welcome from Ann who on arrival looked after our every need. Breakfast was ample and tasty. The property suited our needs perfectly. Thank you Ann!」

「Enjoyed my stay and very welcoming would definitely stay there again」

「Lovely b&b stay. Perfectly clean, attentive hosts, we wanted for nothing. Thoroughly recommended.」
