Brim hotel is in a good part of town (felt safe for a solo female traveler), and has decent rooms at decent prices. This was my second stay at the hotel. There's a top floor bar/restaurant that has super interesting decor, good food and drink, and panorama city views.
The staff was super friendly, the food in the top floor restaurant is terrific, and alcohol/drink prices are very fair. It seems you'll only get the middle of the road rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors if you book on 3rd party apps. Traveling alone they're great. Opt for the 4th floor suites if you're repacking before flying or trying to impress your partner.
