Broken tiles on bathroom floor, large blood looking stain on couch to the point you didn’t want to sit on the couch at all. The shower/tub was dirty as well with no wash cloths provided. The two ac window units were not properly put in and have large gaps to let bugs in. Bed seemed clean but overall better detail for cleanliness and property upkeep was needed.

The home was charming but in need of repair. The exterior seating area and fire pit area was overgrown and in disarray. The listing showed breakfast to be served each day but it was only served on the last day of our stay.

Overall, a great stay. Excellent location for walking and safe neighborhood. Communication was easy. My only mention would be that the main floor bathroom does not have a shower, only a bathtub.

Very hospitable hosts, and breakfast was delicious. Attentive, friendly. The building is on the national register of historic places and is conditioned as such. Warm, charming, vintage plenty of space either upstairs or downstairs. A note to mention the upstairs rooms do not have televisions. Coffee makers in rooms, plenty of towels, bottled water and tea available anytime and walkable to Main Street in Hermann. Delightful stay!

Had trouble with the front door locks but finally figured out what I was doing wrong. Main issues were minor. Kuerigs and pids but no cups. The soap dispenser in the shower was empty. My room had 3 doors. Two could be locked from inside the room but the third, a door into the shared bath could only be locked feim inside the bath. Supposedly there was breakfast. Never saw it.

Quiet and Luke was a very kind host. If we needed anything he saw that he did it. The bath tub was a little hard to use for us older people. Overall we had a wonderful weekend.

Outstanding!

Fabulous experience - the best hosts (thanks again Luke & Kristian) who were very responsive & thoughtful. We had the entire first floor but there were 3 other bedrooms & a bathroom on the top floor. A clean house surrounded by gorgeous antique furniture with comfortable beds and breakfast cooked for us in the morning! We will all be back.

To be fair, this property is under new ownership, and the owners are getting things in order. Minor details like sticking doors, door latches that would not stay closed, and such are the only issues. We had a pleasant stay with great communication with the owner.

Our host was easy-going when he greeted us at the door. The bed was very comfy, the room was quite large, and we loved being within walking distance of everything in Hermann. This place looks exactly like the guest bedroom your grandma's house. I wouldn't call the room secure (we never got an actual key for our room? maybe I'm too used to City Life!) Very quirky, this is not the place to stay if you need modern, updated accommodations. We had a great time exploring the town and would stay here again.

The house is very cool with some vintage touches to it, but I think some improvements need to be made. Overall communication to guests needs work- the host indicated there would be breakfast and then did not show with food on our last day. He texted 8 hrs later stating he had an emergency. We didn’t know the wine was complimentary (you never assume anything is free, especially alcohol), and checking in was very confusing (we did not receive a pin for the door ahead of time and thankfully someone answered when we called but they seemed pretty unsure of the check in process as well). Cleaning in between guests needs some extra attention. It was evident that the rug in the common room had not been vacuumed in a while, we still had the same trash from the last guests, and there was a dead wasp in the window sill (this is December so the wasp has been there for quite some time). Not to mention the DEAD MOUSE we found upon checking in, but we took care of that ourselves and notified the owner. It would be a nice touch to add a microwave for guests in the common area. There was a Keurig but no coffee mugs/cups or spoons. The main bathroom has an old claw tub with a shower curtain. The curtain did not enclose the tub so water sprayed outside of the tub area and onto the bathroom floor making a big mess. It was also uneven which caused the tub to rock back and forth. Not safe! The owner is nice, but this place needs some more love put into it & TLC before it gets a 5 star review.
