Fantastic get away house on lake

Great place to fish, swim or just relax on our 45x15’ screened-in porch overlooking fenced yard, perfect for enjoying a view of the spectacular sunrises or sunsets over the lake.

The expansive porch runs the width of the home and has 2 tables with total seating for 10, a 2-seater porch swing, recliner, 3 ceiling fans and gas grill. Gather around the tables to share a meal with family or friends or relish in the scenic solitude by simply listening to the lapping of the water. Two of the bedrooms have private entries to the porch, along with direct views of the water.

Master bedroom has a king bed, second bedroom has a queen bed and third bedroom has 2 twin beds. Two blow up mattresses are available for extra sleeping capacity. Each bedroom has a TV for streaming. The house has two full bathrooms, washer/dryer and wireless internet.

The fully equipped kitchen with dual oven is great for preparing freshly-caught meals for a night in or any other meals you enjoy. House has 2 refrigerators (with one having an ice maker) to hold all your delicacies. If you prefer not to cook, take a leisurely walk to the Six Mile Marina about a 1/4 mile away (summer months only) or drive to the Sportsman Cafe less than a mile away for breakfast, lunch or dinner (open year round).

For younger guests, enjoy swings and slides at the park a short distance away on Highway 87 South. Picnic tables are also available. After a fun day on the water, spend the evening making memories around the large fire pit, relaxing on the screened in porch or watching a movie on the 75” TV.

Great fishing awaits off the boat dock as the lake is full of bass, perch, crappie and catfish. Cleaning your catch is now easier than ever in the fish cleaning station at the top of the dock. In warmer months, enjoy swimming off the boat dock. The floating boat house, which was added in January 2022, is also available to tie your boat at while staying at our house.

A private boat launch (for use by subdivision only) is across the street and a larger public boat launch is at Six Mile on Highway 87 about a mile away.

For your safety, there is a security system and outdoor cameras, outdoor lighting, smoke detectors in each bedroom and family area, and a fire extinguisher in the laundry room. There is a first aid kit in the master bathroom.

Beautiful property. Enjoyed labor day weekend here with my teenagers and a few friends. Spent most of the weekend on the lovely screened in porch or fishing off of the boat dock. Would definitely love to return.

Big Bass Splash Tournament Weekend

Excellent location to stay for fishing on Toledo Bend. The house was clean with plenty of room and very accommodating but parking is very limited. The furniture is comfortable and floor plan is excellent for entertaining / relaxing.

Perfect Patio

We loved spending time on Toledo Bend in this house. The view from the porch was priceless for coffee and late nights. The neighborhood was quiet, easy to enter and exit with our trucks and boats, and close to boat ramps.

Nice Home on the Water

House is really nice. The back porch is definitely the best part of this property. It is huge! Didn’t have any issues, property owner was very accommodating. We never left 6 Mile Cove and caught fish all weekend. Only gripe is that there is a boat in the boat slip on the dock. If you have a boat you can’t keep it under the cover of the boat dock.

Awesome place for a get away and fishing!

This is our 3rd trip in the last year and we will continue to come back. Its the perfect place at the perfect location. Quiet and peaceful but close enough to town if you need any supplies or want to grab a bite to eat. The owners communicate extremely well and make sure you are taken care of. We cant wait to come back again.

Toledo Bend house on the lake.

Very pleased with our stay. Everything as advertised and more. This place is awesome. It was very clean and has everything you need. Enjoyed the large screened in back porch. We docked our boat at the pier. Fishing was good. The cleaning station has electricity and lighting. We really enjoyed our stay. Can't wait to book again!

Cozy 3 bedroom with a beautiful view

This was a great rental for a family of five, and could have slept many more comfortably. All amenities were here, just get your groceries, and you’re good to go. Fishing was good off of the dock, also easily accessible if you bring a boat, there is a launch just around the corner, maybe 100 yards from the dock.

Great Place

This property is a great place to stay. The owners are very helpful and fast in response to any issues, questions, recommendations and etc. We stayed here a week. We enjoyed the house very much. We spent a lot of time on the screened in back porch and the the boat dock fishing and swimming. This place has lots of charm and is a mix of remodeled with aged charm. We really didn't have any negatives. Neighbors on one side are very nice and did not meet the neighbors on other side. Location is close to boat launches, sportsman's restaurant and dollar store. Pro's. great location, great house, furnished good and beds are very comfortable. Ac works great. Porch has locks to keep little kids from getting off of porch. Cons:( Most of these are not true neg and we had no issues with these. but more info.) Porch can be hot with sky lights in summer so bring extra fan. lots of steps to get to water from house. Bring extra blankets it some of your group like it cold and some like it warmer at night. Again don't pass on this place as its a wonderful place to stay.

Great lake house!

To start out, communication with the property manager was spot on. They did a great job at relaying all info clearly before we even left our house. The house was very clean and the floor plan was perfect for our family and friends that joined us. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed and more. The screened in patio was great for eating (there were 2 nice tables to sit at), having the kids safely play and really nice to sit and relax and read or just view the lake. Each room was comfy and both had double doors to the outside looking at the lake. Going sit on the dock at night was one of my favorites because it was so quiet and the stars were amazing. If you got out there early enough you can see the bats come out and find bugs. As there are lots of trees i added some water to the bird bath and they loved it. Lots of bird watching to be had. Nice part of the lake to fish and swim in. We had a great time and hope to go back soon again!

Toledo Bend weekend

Despite record heat, we had a wonderful time at this great house on Six Mile Creek in the Toledo Bend Reservoir. This is a real hidden gem, excellent accommodations for three generations of our family. The property was precisely as described, communication with the host was perfect. And about that heat - cold air conditioning and TWO refrigerators! Highly recommend.

Perfect location with boat launch across the street and great dock to park boat at. House is very clean and kitchen has pretty much everything you need. Screened in porch is perfect place to relax while the rest of the family was out fishing!

Highly recommend this place!

This property was the perfect setup for us. We were able to launch the boat right around the corner and keep it docked for convenient access the whole trip. Its extremely close to a local restaurant, Family Dollar, bait shop and anything else you could need for a fishing or family get away. The house was clean, tidy and had everything we needed. We cannot wait to come back next time. The owner was awesome and communicated very well!

"GREAT PLACE"

We loved our stay at this lake home. Great room for family, 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. There is a large fantastic screened porch overlooking the lake for those rainy days or just relaxing. Great fishing off dock, we caught catfish and bluegill oh and turtles! We spent Thanksgiving week our youngest son and family came from Indiana and granddaughter from Houston joined us and there was plenty of room. 2 refrigerators was nice, fully stocked kitchen was a plus! We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property. If I could say anything negative it might be if there was a fish cleaning station that would have been nice.

Wonderful place on Toledo Bend.

I have stayed at several places on Toledo Bend and this one was the best. Perfect location with a grocery store 15 minutes away and a boat launch/marina just a stone throw away. The place was very clean and had everything needed for our stay. Just bring what you need to eat and drink. The large screened in back porch was the highlight of the property. It rained our first day, but we just say on the porch, watched the rain fall on the lake, and enjoyed the company. We will definitely return and would highly recommend this property.
