Staff was friendly. Room and hall were clean. For what I paid for the room there should have been attention to a few things. A lamp in the room was flickering on and off. I asked for another bulb but they didn't have any. The facial tissue ran out. Breakfast was not great for the price of the room. Pool room was dimly lit but was clean. Luggage carts were falling apart and dirty. I would stay there again if it was a cheaper price.

The hotel fell short. The lobby/breakfast area was small, and the breakfast options were restricted, particularly for those preferring vegetarian choices. Rooms were small and very average

We arrived early and Chris was very helpful in accommodating us. The room was the most spacious we have stayed in and rhis was our favorite hotel on this 12 day trip. Clean and the hotel waa quiet. The full breakfast was very good. The location was convenient to the Capitol and Last Chance Gulch area. It's a city hotel. No landscaping or grounds so not attractive outside property and no place to walk a dog...and I think pets are not allowed anyway.

A brief stay in Helena while visiting friends. The bed was pretty firm and the comforter had a large tear on the ribbing. Really worn bedsheets and comforter. Front desk people were awesome and breakfast had a very nice variety.

Overall, i would rate this at 4 stars. The staff were very welcoming and responded to requests. The property is easy to access. The room we had was clean and comfortable.There were a few things that didnt work, most notably the key pass on an outside access door and the door to our room would sometimes just spring the dead bolt when we were walking through it. breakfast wasnt ready and for the price we paid, I really expected the hot breakfast. This was a very busy weekend with 2 sports tournaments in town. The staff worked hard to keep up, although they seemed a bit short staffed and that may have been whhy there was no hot breakfast. I would recommend this hotel.

The area where all these hotels are is not the safest looking part of town. There are almost a dozen hotels within a few blocks all in the same neighborhood. One of the travelers dilemma you face is where the hotels are allowed to build.

Staff is very friendly. Very welcoming with cookies and coffee and tea. Some of the amenities were not available such as hot tub/pool but that is not a big issue. 3rd floor ice machine was down, the staff was friendly to let us know the 2nd floor ice machine is available. Overall, i enjoyed my stay and would stay again!

Avoid this hotel !!!

Very disappointed. The in-room Keurig coffee maker did not work. The front desk was notified but nothing was done. On the second day the TV broke down. Since this was a Saturday, the front desk said that it would not be repaired until Monday. I guess that if anything breaks it is just ignored. There are better hotels in the area with a more attentive staff and a better system to repair things.

Very Clean when arrived. Check-in person (Hannah) was very proficient and friendly. Breakfast on day 1 was not ready at 6:40 when I arrived and took until almost 7 before the night Manager and another employee from the front desk helped the young man who was not getting the job done (eggs and sausage but no plates, utensils or napkins, waffle maker not turned on, no bakery items available, etc). The room was not serviced by housekeeping when I was there. The towels I left in the bathtub were still there in the evening, the bed was not made and the trash not emptied. Breakfast on Day two was excellent. I asked the lady who put it together by 5:45! when she worked (only two days a week) and I told her I would only stay at the Fairmount on days when she was going to be there. Very nice hotel, but I overheard someone say they thought the Manager had quit. I don't know if that was the case, but the management of the hotel that was otherwise very clean was poor.

Broken, that is the description of this hotel. The business office computer, the dryer in laundry room, and the hot tub with one working jet. Very disappointed with this location. The water pressure was not good. The positives were the location and price. I would not stay again.
