"This is a very basic accommodation. The pictures are misleading because there is no restaurant with wooden chairs or tables. You’re basically paying for an en-suite room. It’s basic. It’s clean. I had to help myself to water and toilet paper from one of the other rooms because there often was no one at the help desk counter. Also, you need a translator app - though this is a country-wide necessity. The beds are quite hard, but in my case I enjoyed that."

The location is excellent, right beside the lake and a few minutes walk into the heart of sapa village. The only downside was the bed which was not comfortable - I could feel the springs - and the pool wasn't clean, although it's not exactly swimming weather atm (mid 20'). Staff were excellent and breakfast was decent with lots of fruit and cooked options"
