「water did not drain smoothly in the bathroom when taking shower. Thus water flooded all over the bathroom. That was the only problem in this hotel.」

「Lava Guesthouse is well-located in the centre of Westman Island and has basically all the amenities required. There are enough bathrooms for all the guests and those are clean and well stocked. The beds were comfortable and sheets clean. The blackout blind in the bedroom was not super effective however. The kitchen is quite good. Modern, clean and stocked with basics. Especially good was the dishwasher, and also some hot chocolate powder we found which hit the spot on a cold afternoon.」

「Enjoyed our one night at the Hamar Guesthouse. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. Location on this small island was great and an easy walk to everything--restuarants, harbor, stores, hikes, etc. Parking on the site was limited but parking on the island is free so you can pretty much park on the street in front and everywhere all day. Would highly recommend if you are visiting Haimaey and Vestmannaeyjar!」

「I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel! Hosts were kind and welcoming, room was cozy and kitchenette was well equipped. They offered us welcome treats and board games were also available. I can definitely recommend to stay this place for several nights. Only thing you should be aware of is, that there’s no restaurants or shops nearby. You must bring your own food.」
