JL Boutique Hotel shanghai Tian An 1000Trees. Jing'an Temple changshou Road Store

10/10 Excellent

"The hotel suited our needs very well, The rooms were clean, with reasonably comfortable beds, and well-stocked with bottled drinking water. We had a small fridge and a kettle, and usually had tea provided, as well. There were no bathrobes, but we did receive fresh slippers every day. In the lobby, there was unlimited coffee and tea, and more bottled water and snacks. The staff were very helpful and friendly, although it took a little while to get used to communicating through their translator devices. The location was good for us , as it is only a few blocks from two different subway stations and lots of places to eat and drin in the area."

Jinglai Rooftop Garden Hotel Bund Jingan Temple Changshou Road Metro

"Initially our stay didn’t get off to the best start. The check in time is advertised as noon however upon check in we were told our room wouldn’t be ready until around 2pm. Due to having a long flight and the jet lag, we were keen to get settled. We therefore had to pay a significant amount of money to upgrade to a room we could check into at that point even though we arrived at the correct check in time. Despite this our room was lovely, modern technology, amazing shower. Amenities in the room were amazing and they restocked bottles of water and cans of sprite and coke on a daily basis free of charge. We had a queen bed which was very comfortable. The hotel is in a great location to easily catch the metro however long distance to tourist attractions if you wanted to walk. Staff were helpful, did not speak English but used a translator to communicate. Overall a great stay and good value for money."

The Kunlun Jing An

10/10 Excellent

"Although the hotel is a little dated, we really enjoyed our stay! We were fortunate to receive an upgrade to the Presidential Suite, which was incredibly spacious and offered stunning panoramic views. The layout was perfect for our family, as the kids had their own sleeping area in the living room while we enjoyed a large, comfortable bedroom with an amazing massage mattress. The hotel also has excellent facilities, including a large gym, swimming pool, and sauna. One of the biggest highlights is the convenient location. It’s just a 10-minute walk to Jing’an Temple and the two nearby shopping malls, with plenty of restaurants and dining options in the area. In the opposite direction, the French Concession is only about a 15–20-minute walk away, making it easy to explore different parts of Shanghai on foot. Overall, despite the hotel showing its age a little, we had a wonderful and comfortable stay. The spacious accommodations, beautiful views, and central location more than made up for it!"
