The cottage lies along a slight incline, with a couple of steps leading up into the hallway with flagstone flooring. Heading through, the stylish lounge has an open fire set in a handsome surround, along with plenty of seating, a TV and beamed ceiling, making an ideal space for everyone to gather and unwind after a fabulous day. The characterful kitchen/diner has a range of equipment, a sociable dining area and window seating offering views over towards the churchyard. Upstairs, the first floor features a refreshing bathroom, a separate cloakroom and two lovely bedrooms, each with a comfortable double bed, window seats and beamed ceilings. Outside, there’s a cheery front courtyard with seating, making a relaxing spot to sit back with a morning coffee before heading out to explore this spellbinding part of Yorkshire.
Dating back to 1307, the market town of Hawes is home to the Wensleydale Creamery, Gayle Mill and the Dales Countryside Museum, alongside a choice of fantastic pubs, cafes and restaurants. Set at the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, there are miles of unforgettable walks in every direction. The area has a wealth of popular local attractions and landmarks to visit including Middleham Castle, Aysgarth Falls, The Forbidden Corner and Pendragon Castle, all within 18 miles.
