Beautiful fields of sage grass and pin oak trees surround this modern, English-style farmhouse as does a large catch-and-release fishpond full of hybrid striped bass, brim and crappies. Sip your morning coffee and meditate on nature’s soundtrack. If you’re lucky, you might get a visit from the small family of geese or deer that like to graze nearby.

Segue from the dark exterior to the sunlit interior with a fully equipped chef’s kitchen, high-speed internet, smart TVs, local artwork, waterfall shower heads, luxurious bedding and more! This property is approximately 2600 square feet and features two wings, separated by an elegant indoor breezeway, making the house wonderful for two couples or folks who want to spend time together and also have privacy.

“The Fox Den” is located in the west wing of The Field House and is larger with a fabulous, open floor plan state-of-the-art kitchen, dining area, and living room that leads into a separate office, walk-in closet, bathroom, and primary suite with queen bed.

“The Beehive” is located in the east wing of The Field House, featuring a luxurious bedroom with a queen bed and ensuite bath that overlooks the pond. There isn’t a full kitchen in the beehive… but you have access to a refrigerator and a clever nook with coffee/tea brewing equipment and a microwave. As an added bonus, a new sleeper sofa has been added in the living space for additional comfort! Both areas have access to a laundry room that is accessible from the breezeway.

The Field House is located in a surprising, secluded location that puts you in the middle of everywhere! Don’t be fooled by the map; this house is not on the road but tucked further back in the trees. And, if traveling with friends or extended family, take a peek at the neighboring property, The Marsh House. It’s smaller, just as wonderful at 1350 square feet, and perfect for overflow guests!

A short walk leads you to a wooded path and kayak launch with a dock on Clubfoot Creek. Travel a few miles down the road to a ferry that takes you to the charming sailing capital of NC, Oriental. And, of course, only 15 minutes takes you to the historic town of Beaufort, where you will find boutique shopping, dining, ghost walks and more.

The Field House is sophisticated coastal style, equipped for the adventurous soul or someone craving somewhere to relax and escape it all.
