"Hotel reception very helpful. They had initially allocated us a room which required us to use stairs. My wife explained she had problems with her knee so they kindly reallocated us to a room accessible by a lift. The room was comfortable but there was a strange odour at entrance to the bathroom which we reported to reception. The hotel was very busy. We couldn’t get a table in the Dining Room before 8.45 which was rather late for us. The bar manager helpfully found us a table about 7pm which was ideal. Parking very limited and was full by the time we arrived early afternoon so we had to use multi storey about ten minutes walk away. Would certainly use again."

"The room was immaculate and the staff very attentive. The breakfast was amazing, with so much choice, and the bar was a lovely, relaxing area with very helpful bar staff. Our afternoon tea for two was delicious and very refined. We also loved the Agatha Christie connection to the hotel and it was lovely to see other guests dressed up in Agatha Christie era outfits. The things that were a slight negative were the lift, which was incredibly slow and there was a lack of plug sockets in the room..... and I'd forgotten to pack the multi plug extension I usually take! But all in all, we absolutely loved our stay."

"The perfect stay-over on our journey back to Scotland. A very well-appointed hotel - the perfect blend of traditional pub-feel alongside modern décor. The hotel room was located in the beer garden annex - immaculately presented with a very well appointed en-suite and comfortable bed. We had both diner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant and both were excellent. I highly recommend this hotel and hopefully will have a reason to return again."
