Top Happy Hotel Reviews

Holiday Inn Express Hereford by IHG

8/10 Good

"The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was superb! Many options to choose from and they have a coffee machine that grinds your coffee to order. Delicious! The breakfast nook was very spacious and had plenty of seating. My only complaint was that the bathroom needed some cosmetic repairs."

Farmstyle Comfort Minutes from Canyon

8/10 Good

"Pros: Very Quite (only noise was a nearby train in the distance) and dark, no light pollution (not many outlets in the bedroom so we had to unplug the clock and light on nightstand to plug in our CPAP machines). Close to Pala Duro Canyon. Clean enough. King bed is comfortable. Neat seeing the sheep and the other animals on the farm. Furniture is comfortable.Cons: I feel if you do not supply shampoo and conditioner. The guests should get an email before they get there so they can plan accordingly. Luckily we did pack some shampoo and conditioner. There is a Walmart within a half an hour from the farm. Most everything else was supplied for us. This is a no frills house. The TV is probably about a 25 inch tv in the living room. The shower head in the only bathroom is probably up about six feet high. So, it is very hard to wash your hair unless you scrunch down. The only bathroom is not on the side with the king bed. Luckily I only got up 1-2 times in the night to go to the bathroom."

Best unobstructed views of Sunday Canyon! 3.2 miles from Palo Duro Canyon.

10/10 Excellent

"The view is incredible. We hiked a few trails that are most popular in the canyon (Lighthouse for one) and could see the house from the trail. House is dated, but very comfortable. Host checked to confirm all was OK. If you like a great view, this is a great choice."

NOCONA LODGE at Palo Duro Canyon. Serenity/Views/Wildlife.

10/10 Excellent

"Beverly is incredibly friendly and super helpful—one of the best hosts ever. She went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and comfortable. Her place is extremely well stocked and we lacked for nothing. The home is beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Not only was it a great stay, it was an easy stay. There was plenty of parking for our group who arrived individually. The views from the patio are breathtaking—sunrises and sunsets were spectacular while we were there. The location could not have been better. It was an easy drive to the canyon each day. The Nocona house is our choice place to stay when visiting Palo Duro Canyon. Thank you Beverly!"

Paradise Cove House snuggled in the Canyon 15 minutes from town.

10/10 Excellent

"Amelia is a wonderful host. During our stay we had some torrential rain. She was quick to contact me to make sure everything was all right and asked if we needed anything. We were in good shape but I appreciated her concern. The property fit our group perfectly and we very much enjoyed our three day stay. Our group will be in town for the same event next year and I will certainly be contacting Amelia!"
