Charming little boutique hotel nestled in the old quarter of Hanoi. The reception was very cordial and inviting and provided sightseeing instructions. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The only drawback was the tiny bathroom. Other than that the lodging was memorable.

I would stay again.

Recently renovated, clean,relatively comfortable. Conveniently located in the old city near the lake. Lots of coffee shops and restaurants are located nearby. The breakfast was of reasonable quality and variety, but by day 5 it was getting too familiar. All staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay again and recommend for others looking for a moderately priced accommodation in old city.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the staff were extremely professional, courteous, and always willing to assist with any request. Their service truly stood out and made the stay more pleasant. Another major plus was the hotel’s location—it was very close to all the food and shopping areas, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city without needing to travel far. However, the biggest drawback was the lack of soundproofing. The walls were paper-thin, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. I could hear conversations, footsteps, and even the cars passing through the streets Overall, if you’re looking for excellent service and don’t mind some noise, this hotel might work for you. But if you’re a light sleeper, you may want to consider other options.

Mauvais rapport qualité /prix !

Bruyant !!! Un chantier accolé à l'hôtel avec du bruit de 05h du matin à 1h le jour du 1er janvier .... et les jours précédents et suivants ! Fenêtre condamnée à cause d'une bâche de chantier, chambre non conforme aux photos et finalement pas d'interlocuteur parlant le français comme mentionné sur le site ...très déçu !

Amazing facilities,wonderful people. Unbelievable value The only downside is that it’s a little out of town,but the taxis are so cheap & arrive in 5 minutes max And,having just stayed in a crap hotel that had two glorious reviews,let me tell you I’m real & ive travelled most of the world!

Hotel bien situé, personnel sympa et courtois Déjeuner très ordinaire, manque de choix Les chambres sont ok mais sans plus. Nous avions réservé la chambre deluxe et les photos étaient superbes sur Expedia mais très loin de la realité. Matelas inconfortable, baignoire veille, taché et les contours très sales. Les murs montraient des signes d'infiltration d'eau et de moisissures, murs tachés... Pas de coffre fort et d'ordinateur tel que mentionné dans l'annonce Le prix est ok mais ne payé pas de surplus pour une meilleure chambre, l'hôtel n'en vaut pas le coût

Bra hotell om man inte är kräsen

Vi hade en bra upplevelse på hotellet tills vi en natt hittade en kackerlacka i badrummet. För någon som inte bryr sig är det kanske ofarligt men för oss var det traumatiskt. Duschen sög, det var en kort duschslang och det kom knappt ut vatten ur den, tog lång tid att duscha pga det. Fönstrena är så tunna att det känns som man bor ute på gatan då all ljud från bilarna med allt turande hörs. Men öronproppar löste det problemet för oss. För övrigt var hotellpersonalen väldigt snälla och hjälpsamma och frukosten var helt ok om man ska va där några dagar bara, det var ingen stor variation.

Hotel is clean and spacious, breakfast is average. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Location is great; short walk to everywhere & located on a relatively quiet street. Just don’t stay on the 8th floor as the elevator goes up to 7th floor only.

Hôtel bien situé.

Nous avons séjourné une semaine dans cet hôtel. A notre arrivée, notre chambre n'étant pas prêté, nous avons dû attendre. En principe le check in se faiasit à partir de 14h. Finalement, nous avons eu la clé à partir de 13h. Dans tous les cas c'est très pénible d'attendre après 11h de vol. Le personnel a fait de son mieux.

Avoid a all costs. We feel cheated!

Awful. Manager rushed to greet us. Gave long story about water damage and sent us in a taxi to sister hotel 900m - 1stlocation was ideal. 2nd was appalling. See previous reviews. Icon 36 appears to do this frequently due to over-booking. From charming location to much less pleasant part of town. 2nd Hotel had a beautiful lobby and friendly receptionists. "Deluxe room" stank unbearably of cigarettes and the bathroom had a glass wall so that a guest in bed could watch their partner in the shower. The room and balcony overlooked a very noisy & ugly street. We are non-smokers and asked to move rooms.A t first the receptionist offered air-freshener. They moved us to a smaller room overlooking same street: 2 single beds pushed together, broken toilet seat, cigarette burns everywhere, dirty walls,fainter cigarette smell. Club across the street started INCREDIBLY LOUD THUMPING NOISE until 2:15. Clubs and staff hung around in the street until 3am. The quiet lasted until 6am. In the morning the manager was strangely surprised that we had not enjoyed Hotel #2 when we walked to back to #1 with bags.He refused any kind of compensation and would not even cancel our 2nd night. We left very angry feeling badly cheated.

Waste of money..

My birthday stay with Icon 36 hotel and residents was alright. It was clean and the staff was friendly. We had problems with the door not closing so the outside noise was horrific despite the fact there was suppose to be sound proof doors. when I tired to take a bath the jets didn't work and the tub leaked all the way into our room at 1am. I was hoping my birthday would have been a bit more memorable but I was let down.

The room we stayed in has a malfunctioning aircon, the room couldnt get cold. I requested an electric fan. The bath tub looked like it has seen better days. The towels didnt smell good. The lobby is hot.. the cafe got flooded so breakfast was not provided. the only thing commendable about this hotel is the staff. They were all polite and apologetic. This hotel need a major improvement.

Right in the buzzing center of it all

Rad lil spot, just close enough to the madness to be easy to get around but just far enough to be able to relax. Quiet rooms, very friendly staff. Don't get confused tho! There are multiple locations under the same name so double check your address at time of booking.
