A Piece of Paradise

Hanalei stay

Devaki greeted us at the property, she was lovely and kind. She shared her history and love for Hanalei and showed us around the property, which we enjoyed staying at. Perfect getaway

The house is so close to the beach and town which made it so convenient. It was larger than I expected which was also great. There was also a beautiful view of the mountains from the place. I had an amazing time and hope to come back!

Location, Location, Location

Wow! this place really was magical. If you want to feel like you’re staying in the tropics, this is it. Just steps from the beach on beautiful Hanalei Bay and about a 1/4-mile walk to the town of Hanalei, the location is hard to beat. The large studio feels like a private treehouse, even though it’s connected to the owner’s home. We loved the open-air vibe, the outdoor shower, and the incredible view of the lush mountains and waterfalls, right from the bed. We usually like to try new spots when we travel, but we’re already talking about coming back here on our next trip to Kauai’s north shore.

Perfect, low-key, quiet

Devaki and Jason were wonderful hosts, helpful and friendly. The place was spacious and clean, and perfectly situated right around the corner from the beach. We used it as a homebase for much beach time, great food in town, and then, jumping off spot to go to other beaches around the island, and of course, Waimea canyon! I have been to Hanalei many times, but my partner had not, and it was a great introduction to the charm of the area. We will visit again!

Loved it!

My husband and I love Hanalei. This unit has the perfect location, a 2 minute walk to the beach and 5 minute walk to shops and restaurants. Unit was stocked with everything we needed. Devaki was a wonderful host and very responsive. Totally recommend!

This spacious well appointed studios with a fantastic view of the mountains is a bit of paradise. Location, location, location. A very short walk with Devaki’s beach chairs to one of the world’s most beautiful beaches and a few blocks into Hanalei town. One of our favorite places on the planet. Great Location! Great View!

For us, it was all about the location. Walking distance to everything! The studio is large with plenty of space for 2. We thought we would miss not having an ocean view but the amazing view of the mountains and waterfalls more than made up for it! We used the beach gear, bbq, and outdoor shower every day we were there. Thanks to our wonderful hostess for making us feel so welcome!

Perfect hanalei spot!!

Devaki is super friendly and communication is super fast and attentive. The property is great!! Quick walk to hanalei restaurants and shops and an even quicker walk to the beach! I loved the outdoor showers. Most places on the island dont have AC but Devaki has supplied ample fans which do the trick. There's gorgeous views of the mountains from the bed side windows. This is the perfect place for couples enjoying some laid back time on the north side of the island!

Nice place to stay close to bay and restaurants.

This is a spacious unit on the first floor of a 2 story house. The kitchen is well equipped with everything we needed. It is a short walk to both numerous restaurants and the Hanalei Bay's beach. The only issue is that without AC, one has to open all of the windows for air flow and cooling. With the windows open, noisy neighbors were heard into the night. There are also the ubiquitous chickens that crow at all hours.

Vacationing made easy

This private, quiet rental is just around the corner from the beautiful Hanalei beach and a short walk to the shops, markets and restaurants of Hanalei. Large windows in the studio apartment showcase beautiful mountains and tropical foliage. Devaki has thought of everything to maximize vacation enjoyment--toiletries, in-unit laundry, beach chairs & towels, coolers, and an adequate kitchen for simple meals. We returned to the Midwest relaxed and recharged. Will definitely be our go to when we return to Kauai. Thank you!

Clean and well-appointed

This unit was very nice; clean and well appointed. The only complaint we have was that there was a bothersome ant problem in the kitchen…we couldn’t leave anything out on the counters! It appeared that the ants had made their home behind the kitchen backsplash…very annoying

great rental near beach and

location is very convenient and wonderful! the walk to the town is easy, maybe 5 minutes. Beach walk even leas. you do have beach chairs and umbrella as well as coolers to take with you. the home is clean, comfy and serene. please note this home is all one big room which we were not aware of when booking. worked ok for us though if you have someone sleeping in the bedroom it's all the same room if you go that the kitchen of living. the host and renters in home attached are all friendly and gracious.

Spacious studio, older decor

This rental is a studio unit - with a separate entrance - on the bottom floor of a two story house. It was clean with everything you would need (towels, beach chairs etc). Easy walk into town or the beach. Decor is not updated or upscale. The pictures are pretty accurate - older wood furniture and wall-to-wall pinkish carpet. To me, it was not a cottage and not romantic -- and not where I'd want to stay for my honeymoon. But it was clean and functional. The host made a nice effort to help us with an ant problem.
