"A lovely old grade 2 listed house. Excellent location for Poole Quay and harbour. Parking in visitor’s public car park just across the road. Overnight parking is very reasonable. David was a fabulous host with plenty of stories to tell and the house is full of interesting “stuff” that he has collected. Delicious breakfast cooked to order. Our room on the second floor was very small and hot, but the others are bigger. Best to ask David before you book. Would definitely stay again."

"Loved this hotel. Located in the old town of Poole Quay. Lots of pubs and restaurants to choose from as well as the Antelope itself where we had a lovely lunch. Room was lovely. Bed was super comfortable. We stayed in room 8. Be aware this room had a bath but no shower. Room did not have aircon which we didn’t have an issue with as not sure the room ever got hot. Hotel did not have its own car park. There are two multi story 24/7 car parks both within a 3 minute walking distance. Note that one car park was a bit tight for a large vehicle but other one was no problem. Would like to mention the friendly bar lady (did not get her name but she was a senior lady the same as me) who could not do enough for us. We wished we’d booked for longer and will definitely be back."

"We had everything we needed - and more if you've forgotten anything - for our short stay. Lovely, spotless room (church view) just like the pictures, with gated parking. Apart from being a pleasant host, Jenny provided excellent, easy to follow check in information and details of places to eat and drink, which were all very close by."

"Nice property, very clean and great location. Pay attention to the welcome package, you’ll really struggle to get large cases up the small staircase, I struggled with a back pack and a pannier from my bike. But don’t let that put you off. Also have to prearrange motorbike drop off so follow the instructions. There was something in the package about paid parking nearby. Really nice place, comfortable room and bed. Nice bathroom. Just off the main quay side. With a pub next door also!"

"The Boathouse was fabulous very clean, comfortable and well equipped for our 3 night stay. My 2 grandsons enjoyed the big garden with the trampoline, swings and football nets but were disappointed that the advertised games room was not available nor the ‘hot tub’, which was prominently displayed in the description. Although the Boathouse was self contained you did need to walk through the hosts outside space to get to the accommodation, this was not an issue but would have preferred it separated. The host was responsive to a battery alarm that started late evening unfortunately could not be fixed until the following day.That said the location is fantastic just a 3 minute stroll down the short hill to the beach which is used by the local paddle board/ kayak club. It’s a short drive to a Co-op and centre of Poole making it a great base to explore Dorset."

"Excellent all round. Central with easy walking to quay, restaurants of many types, shops, museum, railway station and much more. Excellent communal areas including lift. Very secure parking. Only problem no corkscrew but luckily we had bought wine with a cap!"
