We stayed in the honeymoon (King) Suite and it was fabulous. The most comfortable bed and beautiful views of the grounds. Lynneee is a lovely and generous host. She welcomed us with a yummy charcuterie board and bottle of local wine. And the breakfast was decadent. Make sure to take photos in fun king/queen costumes in the downstairs den. I highly recommend a stay here for an unforgettable experience.

Lovely old house with very friendly and engaging owner. Not sure it is quite a boutique hotel, and some of the descriptions eg beach bars, seemed a bit of a stretch. We pretty much had the place to ourselves and enjoyed a nice bottle of wine and nibbles on arrival as well as breakfast delivered to our suite every morning. Comfortable and quiet, and a nice walk to restaurants of Port Dover.

What's not to like. We had a wonderful experience at Clonmel Castle. Lynnee was an exceptional host. The property was meticulously restored to a high standard in keeping with the era of the construction. Craig's culinary skills were definitely worthy of a 5 star rating. Very relaxing and inviting atmosphere and made you feel like you were at home. Highly recommended!

I chose Clonmel as a surprise getaway for my husband and I. This was our first night away since becoming parents six years ago. Stakes were high, and I wanted to find something special we wouldn't usually do with kids in tow. Clonmel exceeded our expectations. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Craig, and we knew we were going to have a great experience. He offered us a bottle of wine and showed us around the castle with detail on the history and made us feel very comfortable in the space. The entire property is beautifully maintained. We took some time to explore the downtown, played mini golf before dinner, and visited the waterfall near the property. We inquired about the fire pit on the property. Craig took care of setting up and managing the fire throughout the evening. His stories were fantastic and made the whole experience very memorable. We will never forget this trip. In the morning, Lynnee and Craig prepared the most excellent breakfast, and we enjoyed coffee on the porch. Would highly recommend Clonmel for those seeking a unique and memorable stay.

If you're looking for a premium, relaxing and somewhat eclectic* hotel experience, then you genuinely won't do much better than Clonmel Castle. The hosts are wonderful and will bend over backwards to ensure that your stay is as quiet and relaxing as you want. Breakfast is full and quite frankly enough to carry you through the day made with healthy options and made to order. We will definitely stay again in the near future. I have never had a hotel stay where i came out far more relaxed and 'at home' as I did here. *Meant in the best possible way, of course

Lovely property and close to the Port Dover centre. Excellent breakfast and treated to a charcuterie board and a bottle of wine when we arrived.

Lovely castle suite, great and friendly staff, clean, private , lots to do within and outdoors. The town is only a 5 min drive with a beautiful beach area, lighthouse, shops, restaurants etc. I will certainly stay again.
