"Hotel is new. Great to be out of the city as we were exploring the surrounding areas. Check-in staff were knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Check out was likewise very easy. No problem getting a park underneath. We ate at the restaurant twice and rooftop bar - great views. Food was fantastic. The Wait Staff were coping with high volumes of people and doing as good a job as possible. Friendly, but couldn't answer questions, didn't know the menu, but what was truly awful was their managers. Without exception they blamed their staff for anything and everything."

"Hard to sleep throughout the noise due to something in the room or building being loud (my aircon was off so wasn't that like I thought it was). There is no on-site staff. I was sent to the wrong room upon checkin, my code wasn't working, so had to ring to find out why only to be told wrong room. No information provided on amentities where thry were located and the carpark situation unless I contacted the hotel. Pet rule is 1 per room, a couple had 2 with them, I don't like dogs (I didn't see that this hotel was pet friendly), but guests should stop their dogs from running at other guests. I have provided my feedback directly to hotel and they have been silent."

"Oak is in an excellent location on the Glenelg beach; very close to many good restaurants and all other amenities, including a bar and restaurant on the ground floor next to the reception. You can walk along the beach, swim, sunbathe, etc. any time. I enjoyed my 5 nights stay very much."
