    The Colonnades is beautifully located right on the white sand beach in Gulf Shores, less than a mile from the center of town. You'll be a quarter-mile stroll from Sea-N-Suds, just under a mile east of The Hangout, and a quick drive from the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, Waterville USA, and Pirate's Island Adventure Golf on Highway 59. The serene expanse of Gulf State Park - where you can kayak, fish, and take long walks on nature trails - is immediately east, the Craft Farms Golf Club is less than six miles north, and the shops and entertainment of The Wharf are seven miles northeast.

We had the best time in this condo. The view was great, the beach wasn't busy, plenty of room for everyone- can't go wrong! We will definitely be back to stay at this property!

GREAT PLACE TO STAY

Absolutely loved the place! We would definitely stay here again, the place was clean and if we had any questions the property manager was also very prompt at getting back to us. Check in and check out was the simplest I’ve ever experienced.

Review

We enjoyed our stay! The condo was very spacious and perfect for our family. We loved having 4 full bathrooms! It was very clean and close to the local restaurants and activities. The pool and beach access was very convenient. We loved having the ice maker! We would definitely recommend staying at this condo. I do have a few items that I would like to review with the property owner or manager if someone would want to email or call me.

The unit is fantastic. Space is great. Cleanliness was horrible. Property manager was very responsive and took our concerns seriously and corrected our issues timely.

Colonnades Gulf Shores

Everything went well with the reservation and check in/out processes. The unit had some maintenance issue, but none that caused major interruptions in our time there. For the price, it should have been in better shape.

Enjoyable

The furniture was comfortable and the appliances were in better shape than previous condos. The two main areas we were disappointed with was there were not smart TVs in every room and not even in the living room. We couldn’t enjoy shows with our family in the evenings because of this. The room that has a window that faces the outdoor hallway needs curtains. Outside the front door is a super bright security light, making that room extremely bright at night. Please add curtains to that room and a smart tv to the living room. These two things would make the condo significantly better.

Perfect for our family trip to Gulf Shores

Nice and roomy with 4 beds and 4 baths -- we were a group of 8 adults and all had room to spread out. Wished it was on a lower floor, but the elevator was pretty timely for the most part. Gulf Shores has recently gone through a lot of fixes after Hurricane Sally. The location of this condo is definitely on the quieter end of the beach and close to the State Park walking / biking paths which we all like. Loved the ice maker in the condo -- came in great use. Patio also nice to hang with many each evening.

Poor Conditions

This property should not be rented again until the master bed is fixed you can’t sleep on it makes to much noise. The balconies are closed the pool is closed and you can’t use the fitness room. The furniture is in horrible condition. Chairs are broke and the light out side the door shines in the one room all might. I could say more but I won’t.

Gulf Shores Highrise

Our unit was just as pictured - 4 bd & 4 ba on 19th floor. Enjoyed being on a high floor this trip ... great view in several directions. The pool was empty. Still not fixed/redone since Hurricane Ida. Work being done on and around The Colonnades bldg. Beware of noise factor: a New "Phoenix" apt. building is in the early stages of being built directly next door.

Great Location

Right on the beach!!! Condo was clean and large. One bathroom and one tv had no electricity. After checking the breaker panel we called management and was told maintenance would call and come out to fix but we never heard back from them. We were disappointed that front balcony was roped off and unusable. We used Ike’s Beach Service to rent our beach chairs and umbrellas and that service was top notch…thank you Matt!! Overall we had a great trip to Gulf Shores and would stay there again.

Nice unit, well done except the kitchen was minimally stocked (4 glasses only) and lacking a lot of basics. The washer was totally unusable and had previous complaints. The front door lock did not function well.

No pool

The property had a damaged pool deck from the tropical storm, so we had to go the whole week with no pool for our four kids under six. There is no way we would have come if they would have told us the pool would be closed. You can't bring four kids that small to the beach for more than an hour or two each day, so we ended up spending almost the whole vacation stuck inside. It was a disaster. Totally different than what was described, and the property management company would not return our phone calls or emails.

Family Reunion

Vacasa was super accommodating. Somebody responded promptly every time I texted, prior to trip and during. The unit was very spacious for our 10 adults and 2 babies, off and on all week. The only negative things I'll add are that there are only 6 chairs at the dining table and 2 bar chairs. 🤔 Would have appreciated some plastic bowls with lids to store leftovers. There was only one small bowl. The sleeper sofa was worse than most sleepers. So uncomfortable that it couldn't be slept on. Overall though, it is a very nice unit! Management was great! Oh, I was told prior to arrival that no additional parking passes beyond the 2 per unit, were allowed and couldn't even be purchased. When we arrived, we were offered to purchase an additional parking pass for $50. Angie, the parking attendant, was very friendly and informative. Was a nice welcome.

Family vacation

We drove 12 hours and were met by a mean employee named Angie at the elevator who was yelling at everyone coming inside. A terrible way to be welcomed. Trouble with our parking! Was yelled at by Angie again. ( the guard) Our lamp was broken, the coffee pot was filthy dirty brown, toilet paper holder hanging of the wall, six lights burned out, laundry light burned out, pitch dark, broken chair in patio, sheets dirty on one bed, stains on comforter, no baking sheets. Maintenance showed up the day before we had to leave. Dining room wall was not finished being painted. The worst thing was Angie, the guard who was never there in the parking lot. We were told to talk to her and could never find her. When we finally did, she talked down to us and was very mean! We will never go back!

Great location just okay condo

Great location and beach access at Colonades. Highly recommend BUT condo issues. Only one elevator working — checkin very slow. Arrived at 420p and cleaning crew still there. Told us to come back later but had many cold groceries. A mess, No WiFi on arrival. Told to reset router but no location of router provided. Searched and then called Vacasa. Said put in request and would respond within 24 hours. NEVER heard back — searched more and finally located behind door in electric panel box after prying off cover. Multiple ceiling lights out in living room and kitchen. No hair dryers in condo. Half of Balcony furniture cushions missing. Very uncomfortable. Poorly supplied kitchen. Unfinished paint job on walls. For the high $$$$ rental not what we expected. Disappointed in cleanliness. Floor gritty and dirty. Not a good condo for future trips.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!

I want to start by saying the ONLY reason I am giving this condo 2 stars is because of the building being on the beach, and the pool. Other than that, this unit was TERRIBLE! The carpets and walls were filthy! The dishwasher broke while we were there and we had to call maintenance. One of the back bedrooms stayed FREEZING, and they never did anything about it. While I was showering the huge shower handle in the master bath fell off and landed on my toe. The kitchen was missing SEVERAL items that they should have had. Oven mitts for one, my friend got burned three times trying to take stuff out of the oven with rags! Damaged kitchen utensils. Damaged door to the master bedroom. It was very obvious that this unit it not being kept up at all! You can also forget about watching tv during the day because there is a glare so bad on the tv, that it made it impossible to watch. The curtains provided were sheer so they didn't block out the sun. Not to mention the TV's in this unit are HORRIBLE! You would think with the kind of place this is and the money people spend to be here they would have better quality TV's. We were trying to watch a football game one night and literally couldn't read the score on the tv! NO WIFI!!! What kind of place doesn't have wifi?!? MCDONALDS HAS WIFI!!! When I called and asked about the missing kitchen items and explained all the problems, I was told they would get with their supervisor and get back with me. I STILL HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THEM BESIDES WHEN HOUSEKEEPING BROUGHT OVEN MITTS AND A POTATO PEELER!!! Stay away from this unit! Apparently whomever owns it and manages it doesn't take care of it!
