The place was very nice and we really enjoyed staying here. The highlight is the back deck. We had perfect weather during our stay and we loved sitting on the back deck using the bbq, the gas fire pit, listening to the creek and the birds, and playing board games on the picnic table. The inside of the house was really nice as well. There was an issue at check in with something not being picked up before we arrived. We did report the cleanup issue to the property manager, and they apologized for the issue. Additionally, the place advertised there were beach towels for the river. We did not bring our own towels as a result, but there were only three beach towels and not four, which is how many people are in our family. Those are the reasons I gave a 4 out of 5, but we'd be happy to stay here again.

So cute!

We had a great stay here over thanksgiving. Everything was clean, the kitchen was great, and the fireplace and outdoor spaces are really peaceful. Thanks for hosting us!

Great spot!

Nice location for easy access to see redwoods, coast, vineyards. Loved the town- friendly people, good eating places. Overall had a great time!

Very nice house/poor management

This is a very nice, clean, comfortable house with all the amenities needed. The owners have obviously thought carefully about making guests feel welcome. The service and communication from the local property manager however was abysmal. On arrival we had no internet or cable service. The property manager was unable to get anything working the first night. We understand that things happen. No problem. The next morning at 8:45 she texted that she “would head over in a bit and not leave until this is fixed”. She never showed up, never texted or called. After several hours we inquired but she never answered any of our texts or calls. By the afternoon we called the main Vacasa line who contacted the property manager directly. We were told she had gotten busy and would be there at 4:45pm. She never showed up, called, texted or answered us. Luckily there was a different property manager covering the next morning. He came over immediately, was extremely apologetic, and fixed the problem. Having been a rental property owner myself, I would be appalled to know that my tenants could be treated so poorly. We certainly understand that things happen but communication is paramount. Just keeping us in the loop would have made all the difference. Instead a significant part of our first day and a half was wasted. I empathize with the owners and hope that they are able to address this problem.

Perfect Stay in Guerneville

Great location. Close to town. Home is beautifully appointed. Great restaurants. Easy car ride to the coastal areas. Easy communication with Vacasa support staff when needed.

Gem in the redwoods

Very cute house in the middle of the redwoods in quiet neighborhood. Convenient location for seeing Redwoods, wine tasting and going to the coast. House is decorated beautiful. Very relaxing sitting on the back deck with the trees all around.

Russian River Getaway

What a gorgeous home! Very sweet set up. The big back deck was a wonderful space. Proximity to river, to spend days kayaking in the beauty, was perfect. Will definitely book again for the coming summer.

Great place to stay in wine country.

Very clean, accommodating VRBO. Loved the heat lamp, heated floors and bidet in the bathroom. Well stocked kitchen, can’t imagine needing anything. We never cooked because we were gone most of the time.

difficult for seniors

I arrived at 3:30 to check the location; was met by a man in the residence who reminded me check-in time was at 4:00. When I returned several hours later, I couldn't get in because I couldn't get the lockbox to open. There are no lights at the top of the stairs, so it's impossible to see the numbers on the lockbox. I had to get a flashlight to open it. Once open, I couldn't get it to close. Once inside, the couch was uncomfortable, shower drain was very slow, couldn't get the bidet to work, TV remotes were confusing, chairs around the dinner table were restricted by area rugs, furniture was crowded and un-needed, etc. Otherwise, I appreciated the place to rest and its closeness to the ocean.

Easy Place to Be!

Very accessible to the area - Loved the Lightwave Cafe in Monte Rio and visiting beach, town, and the Occidental Arts and Ecology Center. We really slowed down.

Great stay!

Overall, this rental house was great! The check in and out process was easy. Great location to the redwoods and downtown. Beds and couch were very comfortable. Wi-Fi and tv were fast and worked well. The creek in the back was nice to listen to. My only complaint was there was a foul odor in the house and nothing I could do got rid of it. Almost like something died under the house or maybe mold. Also, there was hair in the shower when we arrived. Otherwise, everything else was good.

great property overlooking rushing creek

The place is unimpressive from the outside, but inside it is very well done. Great furnishings, interior design, quality materials - even a bidet! I'd stay there again.
