"We just returned from a month-long stay at Ker Yaye Fatou. As a large family of 7 it offered us more than enough space to fully enjoy one another’s company! "The evening staff at reception and especially Mohamed made my stay perfect. They were so helpful in many ways such as finding me a taxi for a decent and honest fare. The day time staff at reception seemed less helpful. Not as welcoming and not recommending reasonable taxi fares. Mohamed was exceptional though. Super friendly and also the evening staff who helped me connect my laptop to the WiFi and made me complimentary drinks. "

"We had a very scary experience with the staff. Our room had no deadbolt then we had someone knock and try to get it. Then someone from the front desk call up and ask if I was alone and if the door was locked. Mind you I’m a younger female. I tried to talk to the staff about it via email but it’s been 10 days with no response. Super disappointed in their customer service and lack of safety. DO NOT stay here!"

"The hostel is amazing. It was clean, well decorated and a true reflection of the Black culture. The roof top was peaceful, full of nature and the view was amazing both in the daytime and the night. The staff were polite, respectful and helpful. The only con is that on Expedia the driving time was advertised as 40 minutes when it’s an hour drive. Would I return to the single room I booked with my Gambian partner? Most definitely. I had a great time. "
