Start mornings out slow with a warm cup of coffee in the ocean breeze and let the chef of the group whip up a tasty breakfast for the whole gang in the perfectly equipped kitchen boasting a gas range and all of the appliances of home. After a full day of beach activities, draw a bath in the soaking tub as the dazzling colors of the sunset filter through the trees. When nights cool down, the in-floor radiant heated fir wood floors will be just the ticket to slip right into relaxation mode.

The house is absolutely lovely! It feels like a treehouse, very private, with fantastic views. Booking and communication was easy peasy. Gualala is a cute little town near by that has everything you need. I would highly recommend this property. I might even book it again in the future.

The house was very welcoming. It was so quiet and peaceful, the perfect getaway for our 30th anniversary. Very comfortable and decorated very well. We loved the landscaping! Kitchen was nicely stocked w/dishes, glassware, utensils and cookware.

This home was just exactly what we look for. Clean, accommodating and eccentric in the right ways. Would recommend.

This home blew us away! We have rented many vacation properties over the years, but this one will always stand out for us. The location is ideal as it is close to many beautiful beaches and an easy drive to Gualala to pick up groceries or adult beverages. The outside of the property is incredibly serene, with beautiful decks, gardens, local stones, and a gorgeous view of the Pacific. A perfect place to relax with a glass of wine and enjoy the views. The inside is very tastefully decorated, well-maintained, and abundant with useful tools needed for a comfortable stay, including quality pots, pans, and eating utensils (This is quite rare with rentals, trust me). Needless to say, our family of four (me, my wife, 13 y/o daughter, and 7 y/o son) will be back to stay as soon as possible. Thanks to the owners for sharing your home for others to enjoy!

House and grounds are beautiful and in a great location. Thoughtful details throughout the house. The only disappointing thing was the communication with the owner. Owner never replied to my messages. House needed to be cleaned and there were problems with the sink.

This is a beautiful property. My only criticism is some cleaning issues in the kitchen. Someone had previously left something in the garbage area (in an enclosed little closet) that had a super bad odor. The cleaning crew did not take care of that issue. Other minor cleaning issues in the kitchen, but overall everything else was clean. The climb to the property is a challenge for us older, out of shape (lol)renters. The grounds are beautiful. The house is one of the best we’ve rented in the Sea Ranch/Gualala area. We & my parents have rented many over the last 25+ years of family gatherings. Highly recommend for comfort & price.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home with a great view of the ocean. It seems they have put a lot of work into the walkway recently leading up to the house making it easy to get in/out. The only thing we wished were different were the beds. They were extremely soft. For people with back problems it is not ideal. But, we know a ton of people love super soft mattresses so it wouldn’t be a problem for most. We would definitely stay here again!

Our family loved our stay here, the beds were very comfy, the shower was always warm, and the kitchen was well stocked with pans and utensils but definitely bring your own essentials like sugar, oil and the like, there is salt and some spices and other stuff I assume previous visitors have left behind. as mentioned in another review the way up to the house is quite the uphill walk but doable if you don't have any mobility impediment. The beach view is very close but it is not a walkable distance to the beach, only to the view of the beach, to get to the actual beach you have to go into Gualala a few minutes away via car and park and then take the trail to the beach. Be aware everything closes 8-9pm including the grocery stores. we did not know and we made it just in time to get some provisions before closing time. The restaurants do not deliver so you must either eat there or do takeout. We liked the hosts binder with suggestions of places and restaurants. We did have a small cleaning issue, which Vacasa promptly responded to.

Lovely home - it feels like a home and not just a rental with cheap decor. The walkway up is a bit treacherous for anyone older or disabled. We got there late at night and it was quite an adventure getting up to the house in the dark. Once in, we were comfortable and loved every second of it. Looked like the owners are installing some more navigable walkway material, which will be a big upgrade. Loved the books, guides, and games; the kitchen was well equipped for our family. Looking forward to coming back.

Shangri-Lala feel like a tree house perched high on a hill with water views. Light and bright. Well equipped kitchen to cook in. Beautiful architecture and decor. Comfortable. Nice view while sipping wine on the porch. Close to town, hikes and beaches. Very steep and uneven hill to slosh luggage, a well advised consideration for anyone with any physical challenges. As there is only a claw foot tub in upstairs bedroom en- suite, both parties on this trip had to share the lower level shower which was not a perfect situation as lovely as the walk in shower is. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.

The home is obviously loved by the owners who have a great tastes. If you want to watch tv, it is not located in the best place, but we never watched it as the view was great. The walkway to the house is very bumpy and a bit of a slope.
