I stayed with my family in the second floor studio-like room. The host and overall atmosphere were fantastic. The room itself was a mixed bag: The bed was super comfortable, the towels were luxurious, and the kitchen had plenty of dishes and cutlery. The water was refreshingly hot. The location is excellent. However, the room is above a busy street with lots of motorcycles, cars blasting music, etc, well past bedtime (on Saturday night), but there is essentially no soundproofing. I.e., noisy. There is also little attention to detail, like: no washcloths, and only one hand cloth; the supplied paring knife hasn’t been sharpened in years; no light in the kitchenette; cabinet handles are falling off; etc. Overall, this is a great budget place, and will work well if good decor and hangout space near the center of Tlaquepaque is a priority and road noise & lack of functional details don’t bother you.
