I was there with my wife and little son. Hotel seems runned by a family with high attention to customer which is what we loved the most on our stay. Hotel located in walking distance from the beach with spacious room with terrace. Their staff very kind offering great service.

Quiet clean room, beautiful location 500m from the beach. Enjoyed a quiet dinner on the beach and relaxi g on tne veranda. Great place to stay between Cinque terre and Rome. Enjoy

Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und verbrachten fünf schöne Tage in diesem familiären, gastfreundlichen und gemütlichen Ambiente. Der Service war freundlich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend, das Hotelpersonal war stets bemüht um unseren Komfort. Sehr ruhige Lage, fünf Gehminuten zum öffentlichen und sauberen Strand. Ottimo hotel, gentilezza e pulizia

Era la ns. prima volta a Principina a mare. Per quanto riguarda l'hotel, si tratta di un classico 3 stelle, ammodernato nella reception e sale comuni. Camera di dimensioni normali, in parte sicuramente ristrutturata (parquet), bagno con finestra e tutti i comfort standard (cassaforte, tv, frigobar, aria condizionata). Noi ci siamo trovati benissimo sia per la gentilezza del personale che per la pulizia impeccabile (un grazie in particolare alla giovane signora che si occupava della ns. camera, sempre perfetta). Buffet della colazione (servito da loro personale come da norme anti covid) ottimamente rifornito. Insomma non posso che consigliare questo hotel per chi vuole fare la classica vacanza al mare in un luogo tranquillo e ricco di natura.

Io e il mio ragazzo a metà luglio abbiamo passato 2 notti in questo hotel. Lo abbiamo scelto per la vicinanza all'appartamento preso in affitto dal resto della mia famiglia e perché a Principina non c'è molta altra scelta, almeno qui c'era l'aria condizionata anche se poi di fatto non c'è stato bisogno di accenderla. La struttura si trova vicina al mare, circa 10 minuti a piedi. Le strade circostanti l'albergo, un po' come in tutto il paese, hanno il grosso problema delle radici sporgenti dei pini, la zona è residenziale e tranquilla. Non è facile trovare parcheggio, specialmente il fine settimana! L'albergo mostra i segni del tempo ma direi che non è male, la nostra camera sembrava rinnovata, era pulita, spaziosa, c'era un terrazzino con tavolo e sedie e il bagno era finestrato. C'era una connessione wi-fi gratuita e non protetta, ma non siamo riusciti ad usarla perché si scollegava di continuo. Avevamo la colazione compresa, un buffet nella sala al piano terra, con varie scelte specie per i dolci ma anche diversi panini, salumi e formaggio per chi come me preferisce il salato. Nel complesso il soggiorno è stato gradevole e se dovessi ricapitare da queste parti sicuramente lo prenderei in considerazione di nuovo.

Perfect week's holiday

We knew The Grifone had an excellent reputation, having been in business for many years. Everything about the hotel and it's staff was perfect. They were so friendly and couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome. The food at their restaurant was excellent. The room was pretty without fuss, had a breathtaking view of the Maremms Reserve and was spotless. The only slight problem was the parking - the hotel doesn't have it's own space and the streets around are packed at the weekend.
