However, the swimming pool is incredibly poorly organized. The lady at the reception couldn't explain in English how it worked. The hotel DOES NOT have a pool. "Week end hivernal très reposant le long du canal et au milieu des champs inondés par la Meuse. Endroit très calme. Promenade en forêt et sur le chemin de halage avec une petite visite sur Verdun. La télé et le Wifi ne sont pas au meilleur de leurs formes mais nous n'étions pas là pour ça. Propriétaire très sympathique. Nous sommes repartis très reposés. Lieu à recommander pour se ressourcer. "Friedlich, ruhige. Ländlich "

"The gite was very well equipped and comfortable. Probably one of the best we have stayed in over many years. The surrounding countryside is variable, with flat plains , hills and lakes. If you are interested in Ww1 the preserved trenches in the area are the best I have seen. Verdun and Nancy, which are a short drive away, are both historical and picturesque."

"L'Alérion "Nice property , not very easy to find but we managed it . Everything you need for a few days away . Not much in the area local shops are 5 mins drive away , the city is 15 mins away . It was ideal for us as we were attending the Zénith which was the purpose of our visit . The check in process is confusing as the photos don’t match the rooms now . Overall a pleasant stay in Nancy . Be aware next to book ask if construction site across the road has started as it looks like it’s due...

"Not my first stay and not my last. Although small and compact, the rooms are always clean and comfortable for a casual stay. The furniture and bathroom always look and feel new, maybe because they are kept and cleaned very well. So I never feel like I’m in a tired building like sometimes I do in some chain hotels. Parking spaces are always available. The staff is extremely nice and professional. The free drinking water is a nice touch. I will go back for sure. "
