We enjoyed staying at the Derby Swiss Quality Hotel. It is very close to the train station and has a nice view of the mountains. The staff is friendly, and breakfast is served on time with a nice variety of options. The hotel is very close to the Coop grocery store.

The hotel is so close to the station that you'd think the noise will interrupt you. The building is fairly quiet and the staff there is amazing. There is ample seating in the restaurant and you are well taken care off. I'd definitely stay here again.

Amazing views! You can't beat the convenience if you're travelling by train - it's right across the platform - and the trains are so quiet we slept with our windows open and still didn't hear them. The breakfast had everything you could desire and the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable.

Staff were fantastic telling me where to go and helping me with bags and moving my car. Couldn’t do enough for you! The food was lovely and waiters created a lovely atmosphere. The room has a fantastic view. My only criticism was that the TV remote didn’t work but didn’t really need it with the view!

Great Views of Eiger

We booked a south facing room for one night, so that we could view the Eiger. We enjoyed out stay so much we stayed an additional night. All of the staff was very helpful, and I'll likely stay here again on our next visit. Oh, it about 10 meters from the train station--you can't get a hotel closer to the Grindelwald train station.

Nice stay.

Good stay but no Wifi for one day. They could not fix it. We also had to ask for soap on second day and no refills on coffee or other in-room amenities. Otherwise all good. Large rooms. Great location next to train station. Restaurant was surprisingly great.

I found this hotel to be a pleasant traditional hotel with friendly staff and mostly good facilities. On the negative side the rooms are little old-fashioned and occasionally run down in small areas. But the public areas are good, as was the restaurant. Pleasant buffet available for breakfast The best thing is the convenience for getting on the train which is literally right outside your door. The worst is the ski room arrangement because you are forced to exit from the basement of the hotel so to get back to the train station to ascend the mountain, you must lug your skis, wearing ski boots up a flight of rickety steps and all across the outside of the hotel.

Perfect Stay

It was right in front of the train station and steps away from the bus station. Everything was perfect! Front desk lady was really friendly and even help check the weather for us before we went up to Jungfraujoch. Breakfast was good. The view from our room was spectacular. It is an older hotel so you can hear some squeaking when you walk but that didn’t bother us. I would stay again.

I read some of the reviews and was a bit worried as some people complained on the breakfast, size of room, and location near the train. I have nothing but great things to say about the hotel. Yes, it is right next to the train! The breakfast has so many options, I could tell that everything was fresh. The eggs were delicious! The people working there from the front desk to the restaurant, and the cleaning staff were all polite and friendly/helpful.
