"La Capanna" - Charming apartment in historic farmhouse

The La Capanna apartment (118 m²) is one of four completely independent apartments, each equipped with a kitchenette, that make up the La Rota farmhouse, nestled among the organic vineyards of the Conca d'Oro in Panzano in Chianti. It overlooks the valley and features a charming garden, surrounded by hedges that provide a bit of extra privacy. The garden is equipped with a barbecue, table, chairs, and lounge chairs for enjoying the outdoors. There are two double bedrooms, a bathroom, and a closet. It can comfortably accommodate up to 4 people.

The apartment is spread over two floors. The main entrance leads into a two-level living/dining area with a large fireplace. Double doors open onto the garden. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove, electric oven, and dishwasher.

The two bedrooms are located on the first floor of the apartment: each room has a large panoramic window protected by screens. They offer views of the garden and the valley below. The bathroom, featuring a tub and shower, is also located on the first floor.

The apartment was renovated using materials typical of our region, such as terracotta, chestnut and cypress wood, wrought iron, and gray sandstone, and is furnished with fresh, colorful upholstery that creates an elegant and comfortable atmosphere.

During the winter months, the apartment is fully heated, and this is included in the rental cost. Firewood for the fireplace is available upon request for a small additional fee.

Il Ciliegio has its own parking space located next to the apartment’s entrance. In addition to the private garden, the farmstay’s grounds include a fenced-in pool and sunbathing area, shared with the other guests of La Rota farmstay.

La Rota farmhouse is surrounded by the beautiful organic vineyards of the Fontodi wine estate, in the heart of the famous Conca d’Oro of Panzano, whose name derives from the golden glow of the wheat that was once grown there.

The valley faces southeast and offers spectacular views of the surrounding hills, as well as a 180° sunset every evening.

La Rota is a twenty-minute walk from the main square of Panzano, a lively hillside village located in the heart of the Chianti Classico wine region. Panzano offers numerous excellent bars and restaurants, a supermarket, a pharmacy, banks, and other local shops. A market is also held every Sunday in the main square.
