Our family stayed at the Artopia Retreat House for Thanksgiving this year, and we would stay here again in a heartbeat! The home was beautiful, clean, organized, and well maintained. It was also well appointed with essentials, like cookware, plenty of dishes and silverware, coffee makers and other kitchen appliances - perfect for making our Thanksgiving meal together as a family. The kitchen is huge and a natural gathering space. The living room with fireplace was also a great space to relax in the evenings, watch TV, play games, and catch up. Maddie checked in a couple of times while we were there to make sure everything was ok. We couldn't be more pleased with our stay!
This house is so nice… cute, clean, comfy, and great location! We would definitely stay here again!!! Also, property manager and owners were so kind and considerate and very responsive to questions. Can’t recommend this property enough!
This was a delightful and well-equipped place to stay. The 9 of us had ample room to spread out. We really enjoyed the quiet neighborhood that was still close to everywhere we needed to go. We would definitely stay here again.
We all enjoyed meeting at the house from different locations. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. We loved spending time on the patio looking out over the yard. Kitchen was well stocked and plenty of room for our group. Nice quiet neighborhood and beautiful surroundings
We so enjoyed staying at this lovely home with our family for a wedding in Greensboro. The home is so spacious and comfortable with plenty of room for everyone to spread out! We also really enjoyed the big backyard and being able to have a game of horseshoes! We would highly recommend this lovely home!
The home is absolutely beautiful and very unique. There was plenty of space for our family, the kitchen was great when cooking for a crowd, and the yard had lots to explore. The artwork was beautiful and made the house feel extra special. Our host was responsive and helped us solve issues when they arose. Even though it was a weekend, and sometimes in the evening, they got back to us right away.Would definitely stay here again!
Stayed here with a group of ladies for a soccer tournament and we really enjoyed this house. There was plenty of space for the 12 of us. The kitchen was well stocked with all the things we needed to cook and eat meals. The bedrooms were large with plenty of closet space. The neighborhood is lovely and we met several friendly neighbors.
Enjoyed meeting the owner of the house, Stu, or not?! He was very nice and polite when he walked over from his home to say hello. But does anybody really want to know that the VRBO owner lives across the street? No!
Loved the layout, clean, and kitchen had everything we needed. The only couple of things I can think of is a couple of light bulbs out upstairs and on the porch and the bar stools in the kitchen were most uncomfortable and really needed couple extra chairs in the kitchen but other than those small things, we loved it!!! Thanks so much!
Great location for weddings in the greater Greensboro area. Home located in a mature development with lots of trees, quiet neighborhood.
The only con is the basement is a separate VRBO rental which I did not realize it would be rented out. We could easily hear muffled talking & the result of a heavy night of drinking in the front yard under our bedroom window.
We rented this beautiful home in Greensboro to attend a family reunion. We flew in from Texas and Seattle and the home accommodated all our needs. What a beautiful, walkable neighborhood and the location was so convenient to everything. The beds were very comfortable and the linens and towels were very high quality. The outdoor area was lovely but we did not get to enjoy it because it was cold. You will not be disappointed in any way with this 5 star home!
I rented this property, along with the basement apartment and garage apartment across the street, for my daughter’s wedding weekend. This house was perfect for us! The furnishings and beautiful artwork gave it an inviting atmosphere as opposed to a basic, sterile rental. The large kitchen was well stocked, the bedrooms were good-sized with plenty of closet space and comfy beds, there were ample indoor gathering places, and the beautifully landscaped yard was an added delight! Stu and Linda were thoughtful, responsive hosts, the property was clean and well maintained, and the neighborhood and location were ideal. Everyone who had the pleasure of staying in or stopping by the house while we were there agreed that it was the ideal place!
Wonderful house! Modern interior with tasteful, contemporary vibe while maintaining very comfortable, relaxing feel. Full of wonderful art. Nice back porch. Pretty yard. Open, welcoming kitchen. Lots of "spaces" to spread out if you choose. Great gathering table for meals and games. Perfect for our 4-couple group. Could easily accommodate another couple or 4 kids. Communication was easy. Host was friendly and attentive. Nice walkable residential neighborhood, 12 mins from fun downtown. Great house! Would welcome the chance to stay again for sure if in the area. Thanks again Stu and Linda
We were a group of 8 people from 4 different states visiting Greensboro to attend the NCAA DIII Swimming & Diving Championships at the Aquatic Center, and this place was perfect! There was plenty of space for everyone (3 couples, 2 singles) to sleep and spread out around the house. The dining room table was big enough for family meals and comfortable enough to linger, tell stories, play cards, etc. The house was clean, tidy and well appointed, with nice furniture, beautiful artwork (by the homeowner), and comfortable beds. The kitchen was super organized and had everything we needed to prepare various meals. Finally, the location was great - close to the aquatic center, as well as a grocery store and lots of dining out options. If our son qualifies to swim there next year, we will definitely rent again!
Multi-generational family staying together during UNC-G graduation and the house was perfect. Main level master bed for mobility limited grandparents. Upper level bedrooms for grandparents, parents, and college age students. Lots of flexibility. Fully loaded kitchen for snacking and breakfast with lots of glasses. Keurig with pods. No fuss or muss about checking in or out. Everything made simple. Host was in constant contact and very helpful. Everything in the house clearly labeled. Binder with useful FAQ and local info. Strong wifi. Very clean and lovely grounds. Wish we’d had more days to relax there. Nice living room and kitchen spaces for congregating. Two parking spaces right by the door. Street parking for the third car. Quiet neighborhood but only blocks to the main thoroughfare. Close to food and stores. Easy to downtown, coliseum, campus, transport nodes. Truly exceeded expectation- even of picky grandparents. Much better than multiple hotel rooms and at a lower cost. Book this for a group headed to Greensboro. You’ll be glad you did.
We came to Greensboro for our daughter’s wedding and this home was perfect for our family. Huge and plenty of space to meet all our needs! Highly recommend!
Maddie was an excellent hostess, extremely responsive and helpful! The home was perfect for our family reunion, with plenty of room and above average amenities. It was very clean and decorated with beautiful art in every room. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. We highly recommend this home and will definitely stay here again.
