Welcome to Iris House—a cheerful, well-appointed home designed with comfort and simplicity in mind. Whether you’re staying for a weekend or settling in for a longer visit, you’ll find everything you need to feel at home.
The house is equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, smart TVs in multiple rooms, and central heat and air to keep you comfortable year-round. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, dishes, utensils, and a coffee and tea station. You’ll also find an electric kettle, toaster, microwave, full-size refrigerator, stove, instant hot water at the kitchen sink, and a countertop ice maker—perfect for preparing meals or quick snacks. A full-size washer and dryer are available for your use, along with laundry detergent. The bathroom includes fresh towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a hair dryer.
Outside, you’ll find a private upper deck with rocking chairs and a fire table—great for relaxing in the evening or enjoying a peaceful morning. There’s also a front porch seating area that’s perfect for watching the town go by or enjoying a quiet moment to yourself.
Located right in the heart of Greeneville’s historic district, Iris House puts you within walking distance of the town’s most treasured landmarks. Stroll to the Andrew Johnson Homestead and Tailor Shop (a National Park Service site), the Dickson-Williams Mansion, Nathanael Greene Museum, Elmer T. Cox Genealogical Library, and the “Walk With the President” self-guided tour. You’re also steps from downtown antique shops, boutiques, and local restaurants like Brumley’s, Rock City Tap + Kitchen, Tipton’s Café, and Catalyst Coffee Company. Once you park the car, you may not need it again for the rest of your stay.
The home offers flexible sleeping arrangements and can technically sleep up to seven guests. There’s a queen bed in the spacious loft, two full-size beds in separate bedrooms, and a twin trundle tucked beneath one of the beds. That said, the house is best suited for families or smaller groups. It’s a comfortable fit for four adults and one or two children, or a mix of guests who are comfortable sharing beds.
Guests have full, private access to the entire home—nothing is shared. Check-in is simple with a secure coded lock. I live just a block away, but I work full time and am also a full-time student, so I won’t be available to meet in person unless there’s an emergency. That said, I do have a trusted maintenance team nearby, and I’m always available by message if you need anything during your stay.
Whether you’re visiting Greeneville for the history, the hiking, a special event, or just a relaxing getaway, Iris House offers a warm, comfortable place to land.
