「Excellent stay with friendly and helpful staffs, room is very clean and comfortable. Location is quite remote and difficult to find.」

「WE arrived there quite late, 4pm. It was about to be sunset and get cold. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful in giving tips to eateries and sights. The location of the hotel, on top of a hill, gives to great view of the sunset and sunrise as well as being a good marker for navigating back when you explore the small town by foot. 」

「Beautiful villa situated on a hill. 15min comfortable walking to the city center. Delicious breakfast (ordered à a carte). Very eco-friendly (plastic free). Big comfortable room. Only negative point: it is rather cold in the rooms, so a heater included would be great (you can pay for one though). Staff very helpful with recommendations for activities around town. 」

「Arrived at the hotel and hotel staff mentioned that they do not have agreement with Expedia since 2019. I wonder why Expedia still list this hotel in the website. Fully paid for rooms and still awaiting reply on refund.」

「利用2日前に価格が下がったので予約しました。カロー到着直前に隣町のアウンバンで食事休憩が入り大雨になってしまいドライバーはビニルシートを掛けたのですがルーフトップの荷物がたっぷり水を含んでしまいました。 この宿では最低ランクの部屋でクローゼットがなく、濡れた衣類や紙類を干して広げるには不十分でした。部屋は空いているようでチェックインの際アップグレードできますかとは尋ねたのですが理解できなかったのかもしれません。レセプションの隣のラウンジにカローのタウンマップがあるが散歩には役立たなかった。見つけたのはチェックアウトの時。こういうのがあれば積極的に教えてほしい。 高地で気候がよくエアコンはありません。シーリングファンのスイッチがわからずベッドに乗って付いているひもを引っ張るとファンが稼働します。 タオルは二種。上質で清潔。気持ちがよい。」

「Voldeed niet aan de verwachtingen: veel van de voorzieningen waren niet aanwezig zoals WiFi op de kamer, airco, tv, toiletartikelen (zelfs wc papier was er niet!), water,... Er werd ons eerst een kamer aangeboden tegen de receptie. In deze gang wordt overigens ook het ontbijt aangeboden. We vroegen een andere kamer verder van de receptie en kregen deze ook. Alleen was deze ook absoluut niet geluiddicht. Breng zeker oordopjes mee of vraag een kamer op een van de verdiepingen. Qua netheid...

「I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Royal Kalaw Hills Resort. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, the food is excellent and the service was personal and everyone was very attentive. Chozin, who manages the resort was particularly helpful and I could always count on her to help me in many capacities. Her English skills are very good and she was able to help tremendously. Thank you all for a lovely visit!」

「It's atmosphere is very good with full of flowers. However, what is good ends there. The room was cold at night, electricty recepticles were sluggish and the basin cap plug did not work. The hot water capacity was too small and I had to give up filling a bath tub with hot water. Preparing breakfast was very slow.」

「Older building needs bit of maintenance. Outstanding welcome with rose petals and towels folded into statuettes. No air con and quirky electricals. Breakfast only just OK, could have been better for budget. Stairs, no lift, par for course for Myanmar. Had to ask for basics like tea bags (also par for course for Myanmar where it is assumed you want coffee).」
