"The Chateau Laurier; one of Fairmont's true gems is located right on Rideau Street in downtown Ottawa, steps away from the Byward Market and the shops on the Sparks Street Mall. The staff is superior; they treated me like royalty, and could not have done more to make my stay fantastic. This is the only Ottawa hotel I will ever consider staying in. The hotel is so beautiful, with so much history. I highly recommend it to anyone staying in Ottawa."

"The main lobby and hallways were not impressive but the room look newly renovated and was clean, spacious and modern looking as was the bathroom. In fact the room, was better than a 4 star hotel I had stayed in recently. If you don’t need 4 star amenities and want a nice room to stay in, this is definitely value for money!"

"The 2 bedroom apartment was excellent. We had an on-suite washer and dryer, so we came home with clean clothes. It's at the top of Dow's Lake, one block from Preston, so a very walkable neighborhood. "
