We hope you enjoy what our place and what Barryton has to offer.” This was the description of the property and why I rented it. The REALITY of this property was: 1 full sized bed and no bunk bed in one bedroom. 1 bunk bed and no other bed in the second bedroom. There was NO possibility of sleeping 5. The whole cabin smelled musty, and turning on the AC did not help. There was no mirror in the bathroom. Cobwebs and dust present - the place was not clean. The “waterfront” consisted of a swamp on one side and a 10’ canal on the other side. This property was totally misrepresented!"

"We stayed 2 nights in a queen room upstairs over the 4th July weekend. The bedwas clean and comfortable the bathroom was fine. We used the pool and the hot-tub which was good also. Some areas are looking like they need attention but overall the price was right for the offering. Breakfast was good with some healthy options."

"We had a group of 15 get together for a friend reunion. This place was beyond perfect for us. The entire property was so much bigger than anything I was imagining. The cabins are at the end of a long dirt road so it’s very private. I think only 2 other places on the property are available to rent and it felt like we had the place to ourselves. Lost lake is a short walk from the cabins and they provide canoes and kayaks you can use. The cabins and pavilion have electricity and stay very cool at night. Bring your bug spray, but that’s to be expected when you’re surrounded by woods. The host was very communicative and would reply to my questions quickly. Overall we had such an incredible stay and will absolutely be coming back here! "

"I honestly cannot complain about a single thing with our visit. The owner is awesome and knowledgeable with local businesses and places to explore and stay busy. The property is beautiful, with a private dock you can sit, relax by the water and drink a beer while reeling in tons of fish. The camper is very well taken care of and was immaculately clean upon arrival. AC, Wifi, shower, bathroom, stove, grill all work as they should. (Heads up, it gets chilly at night up there so make sure you don’t forget to set thermostat like I did. 100% my fault.) We were lucky enough to get to go for a trip around the lakes on the owners pontoon with his father (Awesome military vet) giving us the tour with tons of local knowledge and stories. I 100% recommend this for a relaxing couples getaway, we will be booking our next trip soon! "

"This was a great place to stay after a concert at Soaring Eagle. It was about $100 cheaper than place in Mt. Pleasant and just 20 minutes away. Staff was friendly, and room was spacious. Eady on and off from the highway without the highway noice. We'd stay here again."
