The unit was very spacious. But it was not serviced daily (so more like renting an Airbnb). It is nice, but expensive for what you get (though it is high season).

A/C and Internet not working. It took two days to fix the Internet connection. They were unable to fix the A/C. The service staff responded to my complaint only after I informed Expedia about my issues. I shoud receive a partial refund, especially for the lack of air-conditioning. Horrible experience.

We are quite disappointed with our stay, especially considering the price and the expectations we had. First, our apartment was handed over three hours later than promised. We arrived at 4:00 p.m., but we didn’t receive the keys until 7:00 p.m., which meant we lost almost an entire afternoon of our holiday. Secondly, the housekeeping service was extremely disappointing. During our one-week stay, the apartment was never cleaned. We were told that our towels would be changed halfway through the week, but this never happened. Even after we specifically requested fresh towels, they were never replaced. We also asked for more toilet paper, but none was brought to us. The shower gel and shampoo dispensers were empty, and despite requesting them to be refilled, they remained empty for the rest of our stay. There were not even any basic cleaning products available, making it impossible for us to keep the apartment clean ourselves. Finally, on our last night, our apartment was facing the Carvalhal festivities. The noise was extremely loud and continued until around 4:00 a.m., making it almost impossible to sleep. We understand that local events can take place, but guests should either be informed in advance or offered a suitable alternative. Overall, we left feeling very disappointed with the level of service and attention to detail. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below what we expected and did not provide good value for the price we paid.

No elevator, still in early startup mode - no pool

I’m confident it will be better over time, but right now they have quite a bit to work on. Many drinking glass were not cleaned and spider web on some chairs. Despite >85% empty (my assumption) we got an apartment where we had to go up some stairs to reach it. No elevator and not possible to change. The reception is not very quick or helpful. Took 10 minutes from the got or passports until check in was done, or even more. On the plus side, it’s rather affordable to be this section of comporta with this quality and set up but without a nice pool area, we would never come back. The French cafe Simone is probably the best in the Comporta and Melides. Amazing bakeries and good for a take-away lunch.
