「The wife and I spent a few days in southern Illinois, hiking, herping, bird-watching, generally just getting away from work and the daily grind, and this place was a great stay. We weren't in the house very much, coming back in late afternoon after being out all day, but it's a great place for privacy and quiet. Very relaxing.The host offered quite simply the single greatest communication I've ever had from a cabin rental... he would get back to us with answers to our questions within minutes....

「This was the perfect place to stay for a weekend getaway at the wineries! We went to two vineyards that were right down the road. The VRBO was clean and there was plenty of space. The host was wonderful about communicating as well.」

「The chickens and yard were absolutely amazing- wish we had more time to enjoy and explore the grounds! Our host was very nice and communicative. We loved the two wineries near by. There were some bugs inside when we checked in and throughout the evening but that’s to be expected on the farm. Appreciated the fly swatter and the light traps! Highly recommend this stay.」

「Cabin was fine. Beds were good, kitchen was clean. Rooms were clean also. The hosts provided excellent extras that made a big difference. Toilets worked just fine. Since we were both in our 70s we found it tough to sit as they were quite low and seemed small. Grill was ok. Could use a burner cover on one of the burners but that did not affect our use.Overall it was a very good cabin. A fishing cabin!Picnic table outside was rotted and one section gave way when my partner rested his elbows on it....

「Good communication. The place was clean. Good space for a family. My only comment for improvement would be: The beds are a bit small for bringing a family, a full in one and a Queen in the other. The Queen for the bigger room needs a new mattress. The firmness was fine, but it was way too "springy" with any movement. If the mattress was replaced, I would definitely stay here again!」
