This is a terrific place to stay - the hosts set up everything so well to accommodate my entire family, and the cabin is spacious and clean. Everyone was extremely comfortable, even when rain interrupted our outdoor plans. Would stay here again!

We absolutely loved this cabin. Watched a herd of elk and a bull moose cross the field from the back porch. You can watch the sun rise from the upstairs balcony as well. 10/10 experience!

Beautiful home with comfy beds and a kitchen with everything. The views are incredible 24/7 and the hummingbirds were fun to observe. Everyone has their own space but large gathering areas are fun, too! Thank you for building and sharing you log cabin with views!!

We stayed at Trish and Joel's mountain home for a family celebration. Their house was perfect for our multi-generational family (we had 13 people, ages 3 - 80). The house was spotless and cozy and had everything ewe needed. We appreciated that the kitchen was fully stocked and there was ample space and seating for everyone to eat and hang out. They left helpful recommendations for activities, the neighborhood was great, and the views were amazing. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Home! Fantastic Location!

We enjoyed our stay over Memorial weekend. This was a beautiful home with views of the mountains and river from the back deck. The hosts had the basic amenities stocked like laundry and dishwasher supplies, which was nice to have on hand. Town was only a short drive away.

We had a wonderful family weekend. The house was beautiful and well suited for watching evening sunsets on the porch, family meals, and great family card games. We went for a Patoon ride on Grand Lake, visited downtown Grand Lake for shopping, and went for hikes in Rocky Mountain National Park. Trish was extremely helpful and very responsive. We would easily stay there again and highly recommend staying there if visiting the Grand Lake area.

Mountain Views Out Every Window!

We really enjoyed our stay in this recently built log home. Great views, clean, modern amenities, comfortable furniture and plenty of space for all! Love the location of the game table upstairs, the plentiful deck seating, large grill and the quiet neighborhood as well! We will most certainly consider staying here again! Love it!

Fabulous week (50th anniversary trip) with all 22 in our family at an AMAZING log home! Hosts are amazing to share it! The view from ANY door or window, proximity to charming Grand Lake, RMNP, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, ATV rentals, was super! Sitting out on the beautifully furnished deck was so enjoyable. Everything furnished…just add people!

Moose Lodge review

Stayed in this new log home--absolutely gorgeous! The location was great, close to Shadow Mountain and Grand Lakes. The deck was our go to spot in the evening overlooking the river and turning on the firepit! Many spaces to enjoy the incredible view--my favorite was the loft by the fireplace! Main suite was very comfortable and all the bedrooms were beautifully decorated and welcoming. I highly recommend this home for any size group! Thank you to the owners, you have great attention to detail!

Unbelievably wonderful!

Communication with host was fabulous from start of process through our departure. Home was perfectly suited (and THEN some!) for our family of 12. Host is incredibly unselfish with their top of quality mountain log cabin. Can hardly believe they’d be open to sharing it! So much beauty and SO much to do all around you! Definitely Staying Here Again

This log home is a peaceful retreat that captivates from the moment you arrive. The brand new build brings rustic charm and matches perfectly with the natural surroundings. Wow!

Our first words say it all. We could not believe how wonderful the house is. It has been beautifully built and the amenities available were top notch. As an example, we placed the ingredients of four coolers varying in size within the refrigerator and it all fit. We were a party of nine, five being teen boys. They loved their space downstairs and the rest of us were glad that we had plenty of space to move around without being in each others way. Sadly to say, the only sad part was not seeing a moose. We saw deer, hawks, other small critters and the hummingbirds, though. I will recommend this "cabin" to all that I know. Sherilyn Vance

Stunning log cabin

This log cabin is not a cabin. It is a stunning log home. We rented it for our son’s wedding and filled it with family. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this home. First, it’s a spectacular use of logs. From the beautiful decks and amazing views to the large, well stocked kitchen, bathrooms and laundry, everything was first rate. It was roomy and comfortable, the interior beautifully decorated and tasteful, country western chic. There was plenty of room for parking, with the two car garage and two driveways. We had 4 cars and there was plenty of room for more. We had no trouble getting in, the hosts were wonderful, everything was immaculate and ready for guests. The long country style dining table and great room with the huge leather sectional and leather chairs provided plenty of seating options. The bedrooms were appointed with ceiling fans upstairs and tv’s, comfortable log beds and beautiful bedding in every bedroom. The bathrooms were like everything else, gorgeous tile, double sinks, fully stocked. We really appreciated the convenience of the location, 10 minutes from all things Grand Lake. Everyone in our family as well as our friends who came to visit were in awe of this home. We feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to say there and are looking forward to going again.

Such a beautiful cabin! Perfect for our family of 6 adults and 4 kids. We spent lots of time just playing with the kids in the cabin and enjoying the incredible views. Very clean and very well stocked.

My husband and I along with 2 other couples enjoyed a long, wonderful weekend at the Whistling Moose. We came to celebrate my 60th birthday and this property was absolutely perfect for us. The location, layout, and all the amenities made this one of the nicest vacation rentals I’ve ever experienced. I would love to return sometime and would highly recommend it to other folks looking for a beautiful place to unite with friends and family.

This place was amazing! Very clean and spacious. Check in was easy! Kitchen has everything you need!! The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were super comfy! Amazing House

This place was amazing - and the communication was too notch. I will stay here again and again when we visit the area. We even spotted a moose wandering through the property, making our stay feel like a true Colorado adventure!The lodge itself is absolutely beautiful—thoughtfully decorated in every nook and cranny with rustic elegance and cozy charm. It felt both luxurious and like home. As a retired contractor, my husband spent the week admiring the quality craftsmanship, smart layout, and every fine detail in the woodwork and finishes.We were a group of six adults and six grandkids (ages 2–13), and the space was perfect. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out, play, rest, and gather for family meals. The home was immaculately clean and had everything we needed and more—from a well-stocked kitchen to extra blankets and games.Just minutes from Grand Lake and Rocky Mountain National Park, the location was ideal for hikes, fishing, and exploring. But honestly, we would’ve been happy just staying in and soaking up the mountain views.This is more than a vacation home—it’s a retreat filled with heart. We’re so thankful for our time here and can’t recommend it highly enough!
