"The check-in left me at the gate for 1.5 hours when the key code was not working. It took a while to reach someone on the contact numbers. On day 2 the key code for the main house was not working. It took even longer to get someone on the phone but they were unable to get assistance for 3 hours. I was between the door and my car for 3.45 hours. The temperature was a cold 41 degrees This ruined what would have been a good stay."

Please is spotless, with great hospitality and very nice staff that is always there to help and answer any questions you may have. Breakfast was plentiful and very good. The villa and grounds cover a large area allowing people to either be together or to find an area to relax by themselves. "We absolutely loved our stay! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and made to feel right at home. Our room was beautiful, spotless, and had an incredible view. We also had the pleasure of attending the wine and Port tasting, which was such a wonderful experience. The presenter was engaging, passionate, and truly captivating, making the tasting both fun and fascinating. The rooftop terrace and pool were absolutely amazing and felt incredibly luxurious. The breathtaking views made it even more special! We also took some time to enjoy the hotel’s wonderful spa, which offers a wide range of services. It was the perfect way to relax and unwind during our stay. Breakfast was delicious, fresh, and offered a great variety of choices. We also took a lovely walk around the property, and the grounds were simply beautiful and peaceful. Every part of our stay was memorable. We highly recommend this hotel and would happily come back again. An absolutely wonderful experience!"

"Our stay was relaxing and enjoyable. A slight delay with check in at 3pm. Our room wasn’t ready til after 4pm. I suppose it is to be expected in peak summer season. They stored our bags and we had a quick swim. Our luggage was delivered to our room and we received a bottle of wine in our room chilled ready to enjoy. The room was fabulous with gorgeous views of the Douro Valley, and the pool area relaxing. Room service was delicious and convenient. The staff were very helpful and accommodating to all of our requests. A special mention on the excellent service of Rui Cardoso. We booked a wine and cheese tasting experience on our first day. Thank you Rui for explaining all the different cheese and wine pairings. Thoroughly enjoyable. Breakfast was extravagant with a wide variety of food and beverages and a great coffee machine. Delicious. Plenty of car-parking available. Thanks for a great stay. "
