1. Holiday Home 'Porto Douro' with Private and Indoor Pools, Heated Water, Terrace and Wi-Fi

Foz do Sousa

「Really great villa with character and style! The pool area is fantastic and there are lots of rooms, but only 2 bathrooms, so make sure you're happy to share. 2 small but functional kitchens made cooking simple things doable.Maria was communicative and helpful before and during our stay - she was lovely enough to buy us some groceries ahead of time as we were arriving late. If you're staying, I'd advise bringing some consumables as shops are far away. It would have been nice to have more cleaning...

「Communication from our (very friendly and endlessly helpful) hosts was absolutely faultless via email initially, and then via WhatsApp. This all helped inspire confidence before we arrived. The apartment (villa) location overlooking the valley is amazing, and the property is easily found only just off the main road through the town. There’s a small supermarket within a short walking distance - and a bigger one a five minute drive away in the next town. Our hosts recommended an excellent...

「Non-existent communication - no one is monitoring or managing this property posting. For a month, I attempted to get a response from the host (a third party called Hist Wise). On the day of my stay, I did not receive check-in instructions. I had to contact VRBO customer service to request a refund. Despite not staying there, the day before I would have checked out, I received check out instructions.」

"The breakfast was very delicious."
