"The staff at this hotel is WORLD CLASS. The food at Tides is sensational, the rooms are wonderful (comfortable beds, fantastic showers) and the amenities are top tier. I will be looking to stay at any Marriott Edition hotel I can from this point forward. I give this hotel 10 stars."
Reykjavik Residence Apartment Hotel

"Very Nice Apartment style hotel. Full Kitchen, Refrigerator, Dish Washer, Pots, Pans, Cooking equipment, toaster, microwave, hot water kettle, coffee maker, plates, dishes, etc. Dining table and chairs for 2, small outside deck, comfortable bed & pillows, good bathroom with a good shower! The place has several buildings spread out over a few blocks. Check in was a little tricky as GPS takes you to one of the resident buildings. Staff was very helpful and walked with me the few blocks to the reception. Kassandra at front desk was super helpful in getting me set up. She explained the parking situation for the city and explained the parking apps and best areas to park at what times. My stay was in the Tannery Building which was down a little alley to the entrance. Also In this alley was a nice wine bar Port9 and sitting area. Staff was great! They deliver a basket of goods each afternoon for the next morning (extra charge) and a bag of delicious fresh baked bread is hung on your door knob at 8am each morning. Nice waking up to fresh bread from the local bakery each day. I would absolutely stay here again! Thank You ROD N.Y."

"I really liked the fact that it is possible to open a window and get some fresh air into the room. Many modern hotel rooms are sealed and airless. While it is convenient, the restaurant in the hotel was not great."

"The breakfast was great! And having the bar and soup available in the evening was very handy. The staff help with any Question we had. The one thing we missed. We like tea in the evening and there was no hot water. We brought our own tea. So along with the coffee that was always there a pot of hot water would be nice. I will stay there any time I go to Iceland"

"I liked the view from the 13th floor and that’s why I chose the hotel - the views. So I’m happy with that aspect of the hotel. The rest was generically okay. Fine, forgettable in a non-distinct area, but close to the city center of Reykjavik which is a cute and a colorful capital in this fascinating country."

"It was a very comfortable place to spend after long day. The community space was inviting. I would have preferred not being charged for my morning coffee, but it wasn’t a deal breaker. Definitely recommend."
