    The Space:

    Located just a short walk to the seasonal Homestead Village for groceries, coffee, and a fabulous outdoor bar called Whiskers, very near the resort's ski hills and cross-country trails, and only a short walk to the Lake Michigan beach, this upper-level, one-bedroom condo is the perfect home away from home for couples and solo travelers! The bright, airy, and cheery living room awaits with a fireplace, comfortable sofas, a dining table, and a TV with cable. The well-appointed galley-style kitchenette is complete with a two-burner stove, an under-counter mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, and dishwasher. This lovely kitchenette opens up to a furnished deck overlooking the forest. The bedroom offers a comfortable bed and the bathroom available features an updated sink, fixtures, and shower, along with a soaking tub. THINGS TO KNOW There is a kitchenette with a mini-fridge, two-burner stove, microwave, and dishwasher. This property is managed by Vacasa Michigan LLC.

Beautiful, affordable spot

We loved staying here. Amazing location. The condo was very clean. Things are a little dated and the kitchen could use a few more amenities. The freezer was also so full of ice buildup that it broke the freezer door and consequently the fridge door wouldn’t close. The whole thing should be replaced. We ate out the whole time, so it didn’t affect our trip. But if we had brought food that needed refrigeration or a freezer we would have been disappointed.

Nice place - a lot of stairs!

We enjoyed our stay at the Homestead. Everthing was clean and nicely stocked. We did however completely underestimate the impact of climbing 39 steps every time you left and came back to the condo. At 70 yrs old, it was a bit much. Probably a great place for younger legs.

The rental was clean and comfortable. Nothing to light the fireplace with and only two stick of wood. Minimal information available upon arrival.

Cozy and Colorful

We loved the bright, happy colors in the condo, along with the art work that added warmth and color. The place was spotless. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes. Furniture very comfortable. South Village 16 was nestled in the trees, a beautiful setting. There are several sets of outdoor stairs to get to this second floor level, which was fine for us, but would not be so for anyone with health conditions. Other than that, this was perfect as they come.
