"The Avalon and its sister hotel, The Hollander are my favorite places to stay when I’m St Pete. I even go to St Pete just to stay on this property. I love it. Highly recommend 👏👏🤗🤗"

"Front reception was very rude. We had late check out and had to pay $45 to stay until 3pm but were told we had to leave by 1pm but still had to pay the same price. House keeping then knocked on our door every 20 minutes so we couldn’t sleep anyways. Would pay more to stay any where else. Doors and walls are thin and there’s “water fountains” on the floors that are just for looks, no water or ice"

"Location was great. Staff so helpful. Downfall is valet parking. Lot not on site, closes at 11 pm which for us was early. Not having access to vehicle readily. "

"First room smelled very musty with a sweet scent on top of it (I assume to mask the odor). Asked to switch rooms. The desk staff were very accommodating and the second room was fine. Furniture, carpet, etc. are in need of refurbishing and there are no amenities of the type that you expect from a Hilton hotel. A problem because the room charge was $345 for one night plus $45 for valet parking (no self parking on the premises). The hotel is very very well situated for walking to many downtown attractions, bars, and restaurants. "

"Description says self parking available but when checking in the front desk employee stated the lot was full and offered no further help on where else we could park. We were left to figure it out. The elevators didn’t work during our stay. The whole facility was very outdated. "

"Perfect location, close to the pier, restaurants, children’s playground, etc. Clean room, and comfortable mattress. The only downside was breakfast was not good. The hardboiled eggs were partially frozen, and this is just one example. The staff in the breakfast area were not friendly. "
